Scoops Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in Washington

This is my first visit, so I'm not sure if this is a normal experience, but I was not impressed. They had no A/C (or it wasn't working) and a line out the door. My ice cream tasted off, and almost like it was freezer burned. I ordered the rocky road in a waffle bowl. The waffle bowl wasn't fresh but was the only thing I liked. My husband also said his tasted off. The service was also lacking. I understand their is a line, but when Im paying and an employee is reminding me to tip, I find it off-putting. I would like to give it another shot as I feel the first time...

My mom and I stopped in as we were traveling through from Iowa to North Carolina. We got a dish and as we were taking a selfie to remember our trip a nice lady in the dining room asked if we would like help with the picture. Turned out she and her husband were the owners! What nice people! I had the chocolate covered strawberry and it was the best I've ever had! The lady who we talked to said her husband makes all the ice cream. No kidding, this is great...

Scoops provided the ice cream for our wedding reception and we can't recommend them enough! We have always loved Scoops ice cream and made it even more special to serve it at our wedding. We have heard nothing but positive things about the ice cream from our guests. Not to mention everyone we were in contact with from Scoops were always very helpful...
