Zarifis Barbershop — Local services in Waterloo

This is the only place I have gone to for haircuts since the late 1980's when I was a teenager. Longtime barbers Werner and Ed, and recently deceased founder Jim, built this shop into a local institution. The shop is under new ownership following Werner's and Ed's recent retirement. During my first visit after the ownership change, I could tell that they had a few kinks to work through, but that is normal when a new business opens or an established one changes hands. My most recent visit went much more smoothly. I have had a great experience using Zarifis Barbershop for getting my haircut. I went to Zarifis when Ed and Werner owned the shop. After they sold the shop I decided to continue using the barbershop now under new ownership. I am still receiving the great service I was accustomed to.
