East China — Restaurant in Waterloo

Will be the last time I EVER order online here. Ordered General T’so Chicken Lunch- Mild, SHRIMP mai fun and egg drop soup. Got the order all was going well, opened my SHRIMP mai fun and it had chicken, spicy pork, and shrimp. Called about it and the lady on the phone insisted I got the Singapore mai fun, and than apologized when she was wrong. Nothing was done over the phone, I asked if a shrimp mai fun could be delivered for their mistake, she said sure and I asked when, GOT HUNG UP ON? Called back again and kept getting interrupted over and over about a credit? Never again, Not only was I told I was wrong for 3 minutes when customers are always right, but I also wasted 10 dollars! Thanks East China- Kimball!

P.S, tell your phone lady to work on her customer...

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant since they opened at this location. Tonight we ordered and I got the sweet and sour chicken. They forgot the sweet and sour sauce so I called and the "manager" said she would have the driver drop it off shortly. After 22 min and my food now cold I called to ask where it was. She was rude and told me it was on the way. I informed her I wanted a refund, that my food was cold and the driver could just take the meal I had not touched. she refused and said their policy was no refunds. After I hung up on her she had the audacity to call me back and ask me to tell her driver to go back to the restaurant. We won't ever eat there again. I'd rather go to a different city than eat there again. They have lost good customers for bad...

Plus one-half star to my four. Firstly, the food was very good--perhaps among some of the best take-out Chinese we have had (across several states). I felt the price was OK--about the same as everywhere. While this is not a big deal, I used the on-line ordering, EatStreet, which was easy to navigate, but there was a significant disconnect between the time stated the order would be ready and the time when it actually was. Oddly, when I first placed the order, it gave one time and then another time, which was ten minutes earlier, popped up. I hurried to get to the restaurant at the earlier time, yet it was really ready by the latter time. It might not be a big deal to some, but to others this discrepancy could be very...
