Every single time my review gets removed, I will repost it! Our local community deserves honest reviews of this business
I was a pharmacy tech student at Monsbey College nearly 10 years ago. During my time as a student, this business felt extremely unprofessional and unorganized. An example I have is how Moncy (the "president" of the school) communicates with students - he once mentioned the fact that I've gained weight (extremely rude). He didn't know this, but I was in my first trimester of pregnancy at the time. There were many other interactions with him that felt degrading and unnecessary. So many that I actually recorded some of the conversations with him to share with my husband. I did this because the condescending things Moncy would say to me were really hard to believe. But I got through the nonsense, and achieved my pharmacy tech license. This is why I decided to keep quiet about the unprofessional experience I had. Fast forward to today - I regretfully let my license expire during the Covid-19 pandemic. Now I'd like to reapply but I cannot do so without certain paperwork that the school should have in their system. This meant I had to interact with this school again. Moncy told me that I should have the papers in my own files and that it's my fault I don't have these certificates I need. This would be true, however I chose to not be a part of the awkward pharmacy tech "graduation ceremony", so I do not have the certificates in hand.
After nearly a year of respectfully yet persistently trying to find a solution with this school in locating my files, I am finally here to say that I am giving up.
There are many reasons why this business has terrible reviews - now you can add a lack of alumni support to the list. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone, there are several other local program options that weren't available 10 years ago. I'm surprised they've been in business for this long. Please go somewhere else.
I do have to say that Binu is a great person, she is so kind and always made me feel respected and heard
However, I don't think she realizes what a disaster her husband is at running this business. Honestly he is just flat out rude and unorganized.
I really hate to write a bad review, but know that these are my honest thoughts and it comes from an extreme feeling of disappointment in this business.
Also, Moncy - don’t comment here (like you did on another person’s review) telling me to talk to the school about this issue because you and I both know I...
Read moreFun experience to be able to meet new people and go into clinical. Do wish we were monitored more during skills and actually told if we were making mistakes. We kind of had to see, and then after do those skills with our classmates without being told if we needed to correct something. Do not recommend going into clinics to do a one year contract, it was a horrible experience and not worth it. Make sure to expand your options with better offers and know those aren't your only ones. Also find a place were you feel appreciated and safe to be working in. CPR class, take at the red cross or find other places to actually learn and practice. Overall, it was a fun experience to meet other peers and being able to...
Read moreI recently completed the CNA training program at Monsbey College and had a great experience. The course was 12 weekends long and taught by Dr. Binu, an excellent and delightful instructor. She kept us engaged with the material and created a supportive learning environment. As a mom, part-time college student, and part-time worker, I appreciated Dr. Binu's understanding and flexibility. Her support made it easier for me to manage everything. Our small class gave us a huge advantage, we received more one-on-one time and hands-on experience. You can genuinely tell that Dr. Binu is passionate about what she does. Overall, I'm glad I chose Monsbey College for my CNA training. It was a positive and...
