Positive: Clean. Tidy. A+ customer service! They will do anything for you, just ask. I grew up in a small town, and this store makes me feel like I'm back in my hometown. Its inviting and has the rare feeling of a store that I can spend time in and not be overwhelmed by all the commotion and sensory overload of big box stores.
Not positive: Many of their sale prices are the "daily" prices of larger stores. Their produce is hit or miss. Sometimes there is one piece of moldy or old fruit in a bag of good fruit. It's not that they don't take care of the produce dept (because it is very clean) it's just that their truck must only come once a week (versus every other day for big box stores) and if you go there on the wrong day, the selection will be picked over.
Overall: I love going here because they have heart and you can tell that the moment you walk in. If you want good produce selection or bottom line low prices there may be other options. This is a small businesses gem and will be admired by those who...
Read moreI have no idea what has changed in the past few months, but the Lamb family needs to arrange a meeting with their employees and tell them to not seem so miserable. EVERYONE at this store seems like they hate their job. No greeting when checking out. The young people working the registers are so unfriendly, they seem like you’re irritating them just by being there. The contempt seethes off of them. Employees standing in the way doing price checks on this little handheld machine knowing that a customer is standing behind them trying to get to a product they’re in front of, and ignoring the customer. I’ve been shopping at this location for 12+ years, before it became Lambs, and the demeanor of the staff is very poor. I’d estimate I spend $400 a month here. I know that’s nothing in the scheme of things, but if the poor attitudes of the staff don’t change I will not be doing business here anymore. Groceries cost a fortune, you should at least get a smile...
Read moreI went here today out of convenience, my normal grocery store is on the opposite side of town. The texts to my husband after leaving accurately and possibly comically sum up the experience. "I went to Lambs today to get your lunch. Everyone there was just super cold. Ask your coworkers if it's always like that. Yeah, the scene was reminiscent of being a happy kid skipping through an underfunded hospice center. The guy stocking just stared at me and told me to move and I said good morning to the cashier and she rolled her eyes and I just silently waited to gtfo."
Two stars because the cheese and meat...
