I found this store a few years ago when I realized my local shop was up selling me at the register on back issues- and am I glad I did.
You should also know, it's about forty minutes by car from my house- and it's worth the trip.
Knowledgeable friendly staff. Great selection of back issues and wall books. For those interested there is also a nice selection of cards, toys and statues.
I am an older collector now, but if you have kids showing an interest in super heroes and their ongoing adventures take them here, not Barnes and Noble or any other bookstore- this is a kid friendly place that will keep them excited about reading new issues. And how do they do that? Think of comics as the exception to the don't judge a book by its cover rule- most comics live or die by their covers and so they need to be sold face forward- and book stores sell nearly everything spine forward to save shelf space.
While you're there do yourself a favor and go the extra mile- be patient while they shop and make a big deal (in a fun way) about buying an economical back issue or two. Then, if you find yourself back again, be sure to get bags to store the new comics in and a small box that will keep them safe and make the collection feel special- and with a little luck you may soon have a son or daughter who has a hobby that improves their reading skills.
Even better, when your kid is old enough to be trusted but not quite driving, you can give them $10-20 bucks and wait next door in Dunkin Donuts sipping coffee and checking emails...

I remember a time when this place used to be the go-to place for everything because of its really good deals and friendly staff but I've noticed as of late that all that has gone out the windows.
From selling Pokémon packs/cards at insanely high over market prices (that they only receive because they open new collection products just to sell the packs as singles), making POPs seem like their cash cow and say they "sell under market prices so it's a deal" but really sell at exact market price or over to even lowballing people who come in trying to sell/trade in their collections.
I've seen and experienced multiple times where someone would bring collections worth a TON of money and they lowball what they have in hopes of getting it for a steal (to then sell for way too much) to even going as far as saying "no thanks, this is worth too much for us to sell" or "we have no idea about values for this item" after doing less than a minute of research, yet consistently sell product for THOUSANDS of dollars and brag about it online on their social media.
This used to be my favorite spot in the area to chill and unwind and look at cool stuff but now it's just another place to buy stuff like anywhere else. Nothing special about it anymore. They are nothing more than a reseller store disguised as a nice hobby shop....

In my most recent trip, a conversation with two of the wonderful people there led me to purchase a comic series called "I Kill Giants," by Ken Nimura and Joe Kelly.
By the end, I didn't know whether to cry, clap or a combination of both. One, because this comic series truly is a masterpiece and everyone should read it. From the timeless story that any person, any age can walk away with some insight with, to the art that bleeds the artist's soul and intent.
Second, because the kind people at Zapp! didn't need to take the time to give me their genuine opinion. Comic shops may be filled with cool stuff, but that doesn't mean they're always filled with cool people. Corey (defintely a cool person), was one of the people who helped me. He had a simple request of me, to pass this gem along to one person.
For all the years of joy and kindness Zapp! has given to me, I hope this review is one better. And to all people currently facing their own Giants, you truly are stronger...
