Customers spending a large amount of money at this location donât receive the appreciation and enough thanks for your business as they should. Last remark given to me when I spoke with one of the managers inquiring about my delivery order when they didnât call me at the Waynesboro Virginia location is âI donât know what else we can do for you.â The manager on the phone didnât say much of anything. I was waiting for him to say âthank you so much for buying from us. Hope u come back again.â After long awkward pauses on the phone, he didnât respond to my liking, if at all. It was like pulling teeth trying to get details on my order. Very disappointing when u are a back-to-back repeat customer in regards to buying big ticket items and spending thousands within a short time frame. (They still never told me the time they were going to deliver just the day so I donât know when to expect them)âŠâŠ.Well, how about a thank u, we appreciate u and your business, thank u for buying from us, anything else we can do for u, or how about a little discount or something to keep u coming back to us in the future. Itâs really disappointing at this location when u do spend a lot like I did within a short period of time (within weeks of last big purchase) and they donât want to form a friendly bond or business relationship with the customer to make them want to return and buy from them. They act like u either donât exist and didnât just spend thousands of dollars there. They just take your money and send u an email for your purchase. I had to call them back to find out the details about my own order. When they should be calling the customer about their order with the date and time of delivery, with an excited attitude, eagerly wanting the customer to buy from them in the future. It seems to me that when u buy online, the staff at the Schewels store donât really pay those types of customers much attention. Theyâre more interested in the customers that spend money inside the store where they can get full commission. I think that is why they put me on the back burner because I bought online a 2nd time and the furniture is always half off online. I should have canceled the order but I really liked the item and it was something that I needed right away.    Read moreWhile the people in the store may be friendly, if something goes wrong, you'll wish you had not given them a penny! I bought a recliner sofa set and when it was delivered the couch only had 4 of the 8 little rubber feet, leaving half of the couch sitting directly on bolts on my wood floors. Because the feet are so little, it wasn't immediately obvious, but once we saw the scratches we flipped the couch over to see the missing feet. The store manager's first suggestion was that I buy my own feet or coasters because they didn't have any extra pieces around. After requesting to actually get the feet that go with the others she did have those sent to me, though I had to call back to have them send the bolts needed to attach them. It took several weeks for me to get a call back from Laura at corporate, though she swears she has called, she just doesn't leave messages because she "likes to give a personal touch". I would think letting someone know you've called and are concerned would be a personal touch? Isn't that the whole point of voicemail? Laura clearly does not understand customer service as she first suggested that "nobody actually puts furniture directly on wood floors", then since I signed off on delivery it would not be their responsibility. She then said the scratches were the result of me moving the couch, and therefore it couldn't be their responsibility. All in all, i really wish I had gone to Grand or really anywhere else. Don't get lured in by any deals - I'm definitely feeling like I'm getting what I paid for and it sucks!
And your response says all anyone needs to hear. You actually could satisfy me by admitting your install folks screwed up (there are other reviews confirming this is not the first time), your customer service folks didn't handle it great (again - not the first time you've heard this), and taking care of your obligation. But sounds like that's a bit too much to expect...

We truly hated to see Amanda leave but she is up and away to bigger & better because she is NOW the manager of the Staunton Schewels Store. We love †you & you will be truly missed. Kenny of course is the best store manager here in Waynesboro store.He is always the best to his Salesman customers at least We believe!!
