I've come here almost every week since they have opened! They are five minutes from where I live so the convenience is nice. They have a wide variety of Indian food for dinner. One of my favorite drinks is "Mango Lassi" and they have different levels of spiciness for everyone so if you are new to Indian food or just cannot tolerate "spicy food" than a 1 or 2 would be recommended. Personally I think medium or medium hot (3 or 4) would be the way to go for those experienced with Indian food and can handle the spice.
Their buffet is really good and definitely not spicy so if you wanted to try Indian food but are afraid of spiciness then you should try their buffet. You get a small assortment of different types of food you can try and that might help you expand into other types of food when you go for dinner.
I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting to try new Indian food, loves Indian food, or just want to switch it up from Mexican or Japanese food but don't want to go to all the fast food restaurants we have in Waynesboro.

Read moreOver the years, I have traveled a lot to India, and very much enjoy Indian cuisine. The experience we recently had at the Taste of India Waynesboro (their newest venue) is the closest to my recollections of dinning in India. This is not American-Indian food, this is the genuine article: Indian-Indian food. The level of "hot" (choose between 1 and 5) for us was 3 for my wife, and 4 for me, and it was just perfect for our tastes. The blend of spices their chefs use is just perfect, hitting all the right notes of sumptuous flavors. And their very lengthy menu is sure to please every diner, including traditional vegetarian. I can recommend highly the Grilled Vegetables. Wow that was good. Also - surprise, surprise - several India-labeled beers - like Taj Mahal and Kingfisher, and more.Though just brand new to Waynesboro, trust me: the Taste of India is very high on our "must return list" of dining places in town. We will be back. If you like Indian food or foods with a world of flavor, you will not be disappointed. Located in the "Ollies" shopping center, Waynesboro, open 7 days a week for lunches...
Read moreI went here on two separate occasions for the buffet. What I liked was the ambience and the service. They were very friendly and quite attentive. With regard to the food, I think they definitely have room to improve. The butter chicken does not seem to be the traditional recipe served at Indian restaurants. The sauce seemed like lighter and not as thick as it traditionally is (it may be a regional type of butter chicken). I can’t eat it myself, but my wife was not too much a fan. I did like the chili chicken though-nice and spicy! With regard to the buffet, the second time I went there, there were not many meat options. For the price we pay, I would expect some more meat options (to be fair that may have been since we went on a Tuesday).
All that to say, I am glad we have another restaurant in the boro and I hope they can continue to stay...
