Good Samaritan of the Ozarks Waynesville Thrift Store — Local services in Waynesville

I just moved here from NC. I bought over $200 in DVD within two weeks time, due to not having good cable coverage in the country. Eight of the DVD's were missing the replaced with the special effects DVD. Me nor the cashiers notice. I called the owner (Theresa) at the phone number posted on the door as suggested by customer attendants, but received no response or call back. I brought the DVD's back into the Good Semaritan and asked the cashier to call her boss about the situation. Theresa would not compensate me in any way, and told the cashier not to allow me to even swap the DVD's out. Where's the good samaritan act in that? Theresa did not value me as a paying customer or a person. It was not a good experience for a new residents in Missouri. Theresa's actions illustrated greed and a lack of customer service. I've lived in Waynesville my whole life and took pride in the way we help one another. That is until recently. I am also a huge believer in recycling and giving items a second life, but the things I find at the Waynesville thrift store location is deplorable. Not only are they expensive, it looks like it was pulled straight from the garbage. The clothing selection is scarce and what they do have is over priced. It seems they aren't about helping lower income families, they are just about raising prices on worn out items. Past month or so I come in store looks clean and lots of new stuff however staff is rude purposely overpriced items supposed to be a Christian organization but the way the employees talk within each other you would never know Also ms treasea the store manager is very sarcastic and rude she over prices so much of the furniture I asked how much for a set of massage tables and she wanted $175 for two of them mind you they where old and very out of date seems like there is a lack of compassion and respect for the store and more of a money greed!
