We had flooring installed by People's Furniture. We agreed upon a price of $2741. People's came out and cut up and removed all of our carpeting. Then they started installing the new flooring. The problem was that 3/4 through the final room they ran out of flooring. The manager "Billy" called and said that they hadn't got enough in from the warehouse and would it be alright if they finished in a couple of days. What choice did we have, so we agreed and then they finished the work a couple of days later. We went in to pay the balance of our invoice and they had added on $600. They said they misquoted us on the bid and had to charge extra. We paid what we agreed upon, since then Billy has claimed he got authorization to order more product from us - that is absolutely untrue! We were NEVER told they wanted more money and would never have agreed to the job if we thought their estimates were bait and switch. To try and change the price after the amount was agreed upon and our flooring was destroyed is criminal and then to try and cover themselves by claiming we agreed to their theft is a joke. We were absolutely floored (bad pun) when we went into pay and had them try and extort more...
Read moreDisappointed! My wife's elderly Dad lives in Weiser. ID. He is having trouble with his TV antenna. My wife and I live out of town, and were looking for someone to assist us with this problem. I called People's Furniture in Weiser late last week to see if they could help. I ended up speaking with the store owner. I asked if they carried TV's or if he knew of anyone in the area that could assist us. He said they do not carry TV's, but they could order them . He did not know of anyone in the area that could help. He did offer to help if needed. I told him I would continue to investigate possible solutions. The closest company that could help us is located in Boise, or Meridian, ID. So on Monday I contact People's Furniture to take the owner up on his offer. I left two messages for him. As of Thursday afternoon I have had no response!
We have moved in a new direction with the TV...
Read moreHAVE SOMEONE ELSE DO YOUR FLOORING! After paying 11 thousand you would think it would have been done right. It wasn't. So disappointed in the whole process. They told us 3 to 4 days it would be done...2 1/2 weeks it took. A couple of hours here and then gone for a day or two. Can't get anything done that way. He (the flooring guy) told me to put a piece of furniture over part of the wood flooring to cover up his mistake. The problem is there are so many mistakes that I can't cover all of them. Seamless carpet didn't happen. Even the heating guy we had here keep asking " where's the flooring guy". Really bad when someone who doesn't live here takes notice. The plumber knew the owners of Peoples and he would even make comments about how bad it was and we should tell them. We did tell. But by the time the offer to have it all fixed "I COULD...
