Rusty gold antiques — Local services in Wernersville

EXTREMELY uncomfortable in this store!! If u are dressed a certain way or of a certain nationality, just a warning to be prepared!! My fiance (who is spanish) and I, collect antiques, from furniture, to toys, tools jewelry etc... So we have always drove past this store, and today we finally decided to go in...it was extremely nice inside, clean, with many different items to choose from at pretty good prices...BUT...even tho the family that works there/owns the store seemed nice, we were EXTREMELY uncomfortable...it was a rainy and chilly Sunday morning, so we were somewhat dressed down wearing hoodies and gym leggings for me, and my fiance wearing gym shorts...we both felt all eyes on us, and noticed how obvious it was that we were DEFINITELY being followed around and watched by hawks as if we were thieves!! We truly felt so incredibly uncomfortable...i didn't even want either of us to pick up anything do to them "thinking" we are going to steal..So I don't know if it was because of how we were dressed or that my fiance is Spanish...they made such a completely horrible and wrong judgement on us!! We felt totally discriminated against!! My fiance has a very good career that pays very well, so to be treated like we were criminals was just wrong!! Regardless of their actions, my fiance had bought to small items for himself, I didn't see anything that I actually wanted at that moment plus I didn't want to stay in there with all the awkwardness around us... Honestly, even tho they had some beautiful pieces at good prices, the way the store owners made us feel, we most DEFINITELY will NOT be going bk...

Place is set up nicely and the people working there are kind and helpful The only disappointment was that I bought 3 chalkware choir girl singers and one was broken and glued back together, now I know it's my responsibility to check items carefully and that's on me, but I do believe it's the VENDERS responsibly to let their customers know if something was repaired and sold as is, it's just the honest and right thing to do, just like it's on me to inspect before I buy something, the seller should inspect before selling, sometimes we get caught up in the TREASURES we find we get blindsided by lighting and other distractions around us, another lessened learned, anyway, HAPPY HOLIDAYS to All and BE SAFE out there and PLEASE ware a mask to protect yourself, family and others, this to...

A really nice place to hunt for nice antiques and collectibles. I found a nice brass or tin spittoon that the cowboys spit chewing tobacco in when on the saloon, train station or other places in the wild West, so not only can the average collector can find something cool, so can a cowboy! So, if you live in Wenersville area or visiting from out of state and want to shop around for some antiques, than stop by rusty gold antiques and browse around. You will never know what...
