My senior cat was losing weight and had discharge so I called one clinic in west branch who said I'd have to spend a few hundred dollars(exam, rabies shot, bloodwork and x-rays) I said I'm not sure I had enough for the x-rays and she said well it sounds like your cat has cancer. I was bawling. I called west branch animal clinic who got her in fast, and decided to try her on antibiotics for a possible uterine infection. If THAT doesn't work then I'll have to do all the diagnostic tests. So they saved me a bunch of money(only cost me 75 for the exam and medicine)because so far my cat is doing better. I don't mind getting diagnostics ran but I didn't appreciate the person from the other vet to use fear and emotion to try and get me to spend every penny I had on me. It still baffles me that she would say that. So I won't personally be going there. I'll keep going to west branch...

DO NOT GO HERE for serious problemsgo here for simple thing shot and hartgard and frontline. was going here for 20 years and they don't know what there doing. They might be good with farm animals but not with dogs or cats piss poor vets took my dog in 5 times they told me the same thing she will get better nope took her to vet in Iowa city told use that westbrach was wrong to late dog was real sick had to put down. The vet in Iowa city said he does not understand how they could have missed it. 4 different times had To go to different vet to get second opinion and every time the Westbrach animals clinic was wrong with what they where saying They let my last dog pretty much die so don't go here spread the word. West Branch Animal Clinic totally meets my guys and my veterinary needs. I live in Iowa City and have loved dogs since I was a child. I am well versed as a consumer of veterinary services. My two labs and I have been using their clinic for 8+ years. Some vets in the area offer what I would consider lavish services. That comes with a price that is also lavish. I am looking for quality, standard of care service and West Branch has more than met that standard. Everyone at the clinic is genuinely friendly, from the front desk, to the vet techs to the doctors. The clinic is well run. Communication is excellent. Their price is fair. I have needed emergency care one weekend. Their on call service worked perfectly and the issue was taken care of in the most professional way. I highly recommend West Branch...
