Stellar Collectibles is one of the worst collectibles shops I have ever visited and needs a drastic direction change.
Around 65-75 percent is not for sale. When you walk in, there are items everywhere, but unless it's clearly marked or in the counters, it's not for sale. Had a longbox of comics on the counter marked for $1...that wasn't for sale because they forgot to take that price sign out after purchasing it for the shop. One whole side of the shop is literally not for sale.
For a shop like this to work, either you need a clerk who’s ready to price immediately or everything must be priced as marked. The young man who was the clerk didn’t want to be there that day and had a completely wrong attitude for this work and needs to either be retrained or replaced. At one point I had to frankly ask “What’s actually for sale?” and we left shortly afterwards, later going to other business that value customers.
How to fix Stellar Collectibles? Close the shop for a month, total reorganization, clear the sales floor of items not for sale, and retrain or replace the clerk. Frustrating and...
Read moreGreat shop with a lot of great products. I had a few things to sell so I called the store and spoke with the owner. He told me he was interested in the items I had and to bring the item into the store. When I brought the items in I was able to quickly sell them for cash and got more for my items than I was anticipating.
And yes the store might seem a little cluttered or disorganized but that is just how some establishments are run. I appreciate a store that looks and feels like Stellar Collectibles as opposed to a bright white store with just a handful of items in cases behind glass. It reminds me of successful/popular coin stores where there are many new coins in stacks & piles various places around the shop because the establishment itself (like Stellar) is a living,...
Read moreWas on trip always on the look out for geeky places to look for retro items ans thought this place was going to be a winner. But sadly we went in and they are open only couple of days a week. It seemed very un organized and hard to get around. What we could get to it was priced at reasonable price. But really didn't have enough stuff were interested in to make purchase sadly. But i believe if your retro video game fan you could find some really good deals. I think if it wasn't so much stuff all over the place and was little more organized than we probably would found something but maybe it was just an off day for them. I wish them the best and hope they have success in future. Check them out you might find that treasure your...
