I am beyond disappointed in this place. First of all it took three times of me calling for them to book our hair appointments for my friends wedding. They just never did the previous two calls apparently. We felt very pressured into washing our hair for them to do a blowout to then just curl it and do an updo. Honestly it was just to make more money and Iāve been in enough weddings to know you do not want freshly washed hair before an updo. The owner even said my hair was just fine but then this other pushy stylist said nope I need to wash it otherwise it wonāt look like my picture. It cost me $45 to wash my hair that wasnāt even dirty then $15 to āblow dry curl itā to then charge me another $55 to actually curl it and do the updo. Then another $4 for some weird bun thing they put in. My hair was falling out well before the ceremony. Like Bobby pins just falling out while I was sitting there. NOBODYs hair looked like the pictures we showed. The brides hair simply looked like a messy bun that I could have done. I had to tell the gal doing my hair 4 times to not put braids on both sides of my head but she just kept saying āno its ok.ā I can understand there was a language barrier and I wish I spoke Spanish to help with this but I unfortunately donāt. So Iām not sure if she didnāt understand me or just didnāt care.
The couple ladies that had their makeup done looked great! They did a great job at that and the owner who washed my hair was super nice and it did feel very nice however thatās not what I wanted nor wanted to pay for. They provided us champagne which was also super nice and very appreciated. I would never recommend this place for updos though. Do not try to push services on people itās just a terrible business practice and it was clear updos are not their specialty. The ladies were all very...
Ā Ā Ā Read more5/5 Doris 1/5 whoever did my hair last time even though I specifically asked for Doris.
My first time here, Doris did a wonderful job. She took her time, was attentive, and gentle as I have thin hair and made sure it was the way I like.
My second time here, I called to make an appointment specifically asking for Doris to do my hair. When I walked it she was doing color for two girls there and she had me do my hair with some other stylist (pretty with long black hair). She was nice and got the style right but wooooww she was so rough that I got neck pain from her pulling my hair and not to mention she broke all the hair on the top of my head. She also styled it to the other side so I couldn't see the breakage till after I left the salon at home. I ended up going to Sephora the very next day in tears to buy the olaplex line to fix it.
Also, the other thing I noticed is that no one uses heat protectants!!!! Like whattt you all are stylists you should know to put something in hair before applying harsh heat.
Next time I come I will not allow anyone to do my hair except Doris. And will not go for any substitutions in stylists ever again. I will also be bringing in my own heat protectant because I don't expect...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWriting this review with some compassion because I totally understand things happen out of our control sometimes, and the stylists were very sweet. However, I think itās a good moment for a lesson to the staff/owner. I drove in from Orlando today for a wedding and arrived at my appointment on time. The stylists (and the current customer) apologized and let me know they were running behind because the customer had arrived late. I even said I would be happy to go with another stylist but apparently, the other stylist was also busy. Since I drove in straight to my appointment, my husband and 5 month old baby were in the car. As you can imagine, it was not feasible to leave my baby in the car for an extra half hour ā at least ā to wait for the stylist to be done. So, I had to leave without getting my blow out. I am very disappointed. In the beauty industry, it is common practice to adjust a clients service if they arrive late⦠not penalize the next appointment. I appreciate how nice they were about it, but doesnāt change the fact that I was unable to get my hair done⦠despite making my...
