Ellen Vitievsky, MD — Local services in West New York

I have been Dr. Vitievsky patient for 3 years. I never had such excellent PCP in my live. She has expertise not only in internal medicine, but in all other specialties. To name just a few: orthopedics, dermatology, optometry (I been in Las Vegas and she prescribed me eye drops for conjunctivitis), neurology, gastroenterology, nephrology, psychiatry and last, but not least, psychology and psychotherapy. I have bipolar with tendency to long lasting depressions. She has spent hours talking to me, trying her best to understand and giving advices. Gradually she has become my friend. Ellen is very intelligent and educated. Having common roots and heritage also helps. We exchange cultural information, books. I am looking forward for every visit. Having said all this, there is a fly in the ointment. A staff and an office manager Anatoly, in particular, having a room for improvement in his manners. I went here because of the good reviews, and the doctor was very nice, but I’m not impressed with the overall service and won’t be going back. My appointment was at 12 and I didn’t get seen until after 1. First I waited a half hour before they even asked for my insurance card and then they had to call the insurance to verify it so it just took forever. Then it’s cash only (?) so I had to go across the street to get cash. When I finally got into the patient’s room someone left my file and then another person took the file and then the doctor came in and there was all this confusion of where is the file. Then our appointment was interrupted with the staff continuing to ask the doctor questions about other people.

Awful service of front desk! It’s crazy how they can be so disrespectful to the patients! I wish I could leave 0 stars for the service front desk provides! I scheduled an appointment for my mother to see the Dr Ellen Vitievsky, and left my phone number for any follow up questions the Dr might have from my mothers permission. After I received a call from their office and asked what Dr’s office they are calling from, the men, whose name is Anatoliy, ???front desk receptionist??? answered with “does your mother have 10 or 20 Drs’?!” After that he started calling me names, so RUDE.
