Dollar General — Local services in West Pennsboro Township

Absolutely done shopping here. Customer service is horrible to say the very least... if u wanna hear the Jerry springer life story from any of the clerks, I'm sure u would love the drama. Meanwhile every time, and I do mean every time I stop to pick up a few items, literally 3 or 4 for convenience, I have to stand in line while "Betty joe" or "Sally sue" tell about how "gerald" went to jail bc he beat his wife or got a dui. The ice chest seems to be an issue for the store, as the last time they lost the key, it wasn't unlocked at 1pm and I had to wait for a refund and the 10 minute search for this Golden key that held the line up. Today I made my finally stop, checked locks, again 1pm they were locked. Waited second in line for 10 min listening to the story's from what I can describe seemed to be as straight from the police reports. I get to counter ask if they have ice, yes, ok do you have the key, the chest is unlocked. Noma'am, i just checked when i walked in and its locked. "No its not " she proclaimed. As another lady walked out with the key, I paid, followed her out, took my ice, never to return to this store again. Horrible customer service. I spent maybe 10 minutes in this store and was greeted 4 different times by the same kid (Quentin), then while looking for items he came through the aisle i was in with the aisle wide broom and asked me to move while he swept? I work in customer service and that would never be allowed in any work place. Then while still looking for items, he asked if I would be ready to check out soon. Again, horrible customer service. The store always looks like a disaster. Shipping boxes stacked everywhere and floors that may have been cleaned a year or two ago. I stopped recently at 8:25am and a manager was already outside standing on front sidewalk smoking a cigarette. She proudly let me know she was the only employee present so the store was unattended inside. A few customers were inside shopping. Since the store opens at 8:00am I think the company should mount ashtrays next to the cash registers so the employees and managers can smoke while ringing...
