Gerrity's — Local services in West Pittston

This is my neighborhood grocery store and I often go in to grab things I need and never had a bad experience everyone is usually nice, until today. I ran into the store to grab some things and stepped in the line of “Penny” and it was a cold experience. Now, I have been in customer service for almost 30 years and no matter how you feel about a certain group of people or how your day is going you always greet the customer pleasantly, When i stepped in her line actually I had to say good morning because it was so cold and awkward stepping in her line. After I paid for my items I could not wait to get out of the store to write this review she just whipped her arm back with my receipt didn’t say anything but looked at the cashier next to her and proceeded to ignore the customer which was me. I called this Gerrity's before traveling there and was told by a butcher that they had John Morrell Easy Cut hams in stock. I drive down there only to be told that they did not have any yet because they needed to receive a code for the pricing and have not received it. Then he said he could check for me. He opened a box and pulled out a John morrell ham and I asked him if he could cut it in half and he said no. He said he would sell me a whole ham and just make up a price because he did not receive any codes yet. I asked if another Gerrity's would have them and he said absolutely not if we didn't receive the code then they didn't. I ended up calling another Gerrity's and had no problem getting my John morrell easy cut ham. The butcher I spoke to at the Gerrity's I ended up going to said it was pure laziness on their part.
