My husband and I have lived here at the point for almost 3 years we have seen management change hands at least 6 times in that 3 years. I am not generally one to complain we’ve lived in our apartment since it was brand new had a couple of weird issues that’s would happen here and there .We've discovered that being on the top floor With gust of wind, it causes our pilot light to blow out then we have no hot water so we end up having to call maintenance Very poor design when it comes to not having the hot water heater covered a little bit. Also, the heating system in general sucks with it being connected all together that has been a major issue. We get a year and a half down the road our HVAC system starts having issues.. I called the front office to have the maintenance come in to check it to see why we’re not getting any central air mind you the thermostat is showing that it is 84 and it’s 100° outside he says oh we're gonna have to have the HVAC guys come on Monday to check this out. You can just open up the windows I look at him and I say huh just open up the windows it's 100° outside. I Work remotely, so opening up Windows with it being 100° outside and taking phone calls with calls being recorded isn't going to help matters so I figured OK they'll have it figured out by Monday. I called the property manager and I asked her why maintenance would suggest that we just open up the windows for the weekend when it was 100° outside and she said well I was unaware that this was going on but they will be here today. I said you do understand that I work remotely from home I cannot just have the windows open. It's 100° outside you need to make a accommodations and you have 45 minutes to figure this out, otherwise I will be taking my work into the clubhouse. She did not like my tone, but I was very upset that it was just the recommendation that we open up the windows they are to have the heating and central air running. It is stated in our lease so we get to them coming out to look at the HVAC system. The guy comes out he replaces one part. He comes into our unit and he says oh give it a couple of hours. It'll cool down in here my husband and I give him the benefit of the doubt. We get to 11 PM, our unit is still at 85° guy shows up the next morning to take the portable Air Conditioning unit and I said this still hasn't been fixed well. It turns out that there were two other units that were having problems with their central Conditioning units as well so as I'm watching on my ring camera throughout the next day, I noticed that there's an HVAC guy there and I ask him are you here to check on our unit and he says no I'm here for your neighbors their entire system needs to be fixed because they have been waiting for two weeks for the parts. I said oh OK. So I called the office later that day and I asked the property manager was there anybody that was going to check on what was going on with our HVAC system and she said oh yes they’ll be there in the morning. It’s just a part that they need for you, OK so they come and it was a different guy he went up on the roof. He checked on everything and had the first guy done his job properly. They would’ve found out that the compressor went bad. I’m extremely Dissatisfied with the way things have been taken care of we pay a good amount of money to live here. There’s lack of communication and Concern Their residence had they had to deal with not having their central air run for an entire week. I don’t think they would be very happy with dealing with 85° temperatures inside their unit. It’s just super frustrating. I won’t be recommending the point in the future to any further friends or family. I personally think that a management company that could have six different property managers turnover in three years is unprofessional and also property manager should be aware when someone works remotely you should ask the question of how can I make this situation a...
Read moreWe live here via corporate housing and indeed the complex is new and thus in good condition. The staff is friendly...however, I am concerned about a few issues that multiple residents have encountered. Packages are stolen/taken from the parcel room. I have confirmed this with (3) other residents. I realize that the property management leaves this to the carrier's responsibility, but considering that the parcel room is next to the PM office, more direction should be given to the carriers. I have filed a complaint with UPS, the carrier of my package that was stolen, and was thankfully provided a replacement order via the merchant. For the duration of our stay here, we will avoid having packages delivered here. There are lockers for use, but no one wants to take responsibility for implementation of policies and procedures for placement of the parcels within the lockers. Also, there is a wall heater near the front of the parcel room. Carriers are placing perishable shipments next to this heater which is counterintuitive. The complex is small so perishable shipments should have a direct delivery attempt to the apartment prior to storage in the parcel room.
Parking is also an issue. Recently, one space has been assigned to residents under the parking canopies, but there isn't enough non-canopy parking for residents. I also do not believe there is enough disabled parking, but I am not sure what zoning requirements there are by the City. I don't think residents should have to park off-property at the adjacent grocery store or medical offices. This is a liability for all.
The pole lights on the east side of the property near Del Taco are far too intrusive. There is no backlight control system on the poles. Light shines into our bedroom/apartment all night long since the Del Taco is open 24/7. Contacted the city, but they are in the process of passing ordinances addressing light intrusion from commercial properties to residential. Also, the developer should install backlight control/shields on the poles they own.
Revised: more reports of packages being stolen from the parcel room and a car stolen near the leasing office. Now having issues with the lights cutting on and off during the day. I am glad we will be leaving in 3 weeks. I saw a gentleman in a pick-up truck enter the parcel room last Thursday, pick up packages, and then leave the complex. How do we know he is a resident? Why isn't more action taken to resolve this issue? I tried calling the corporate office in SC (Greystar), but no one answers. I have now filed two complaints with them.
Live here at your own risk until the property management team decides to actually do something constructive. I work from home and am here all day and will start to monitor as much as I can for suspicious activity since the office staff are...
Read moreThis by far has to be the worst complex i have stayed at and im counting down the days that my lease is up to move out. My electricity went out in the master bathroom- it took 72 hours for even a call back, on the situation. also when i moved in, within the week my washer flooded my apartment and they brought in a whole new one stating “ it was old and needed replaced “ management in the last year i have lived here has changed and the issues does not get better. Neighbors moving up above me had their friend try to break into my house and walking in an out of my house, and police was contacted due to the office never answering their phone to which i received an “ i’m sorry “ and nothing else. parking is next to non and you have to walk from the store parking lots nearby to get to your building if you have guests or more than one car. A sex offender resided in the apartments as well to which they said “ well he doesn’t stay here anymore “ when i brought it up and showed them the sex offender registry stating he resided in the facility- i went in twice about the sex offender residing here to make a complaint. your lights will turn on and off randomly all throughout the night, and day. they have you pay for a wifi service that does not work and will go out for hours at a time- they will not deduct your price or let you opt out of the service- so if you want your own wifi you’ll still have to pay them for theirs. maintenance will not give you a notice when they are coming to fix any work orders, they will call you right as they are walking to your apartment. office hours are only a concept here… it doesn’t matter if their sign says they are supposed to be open, you roll the dice on whether or not they will actually be there. i sat in the clubhouse for 2 hours one time waiting for them to get back from lunch at 1pm to which they said they would be back, by 3pm still no one was back and when i came to check at 430 to give them rent- the office was still empty by 5pm the office remained closed to which they did not return that day. my water heater went out, to which i waited 4 hours for someone to come and even look at it. and it was left for another day before it was actually fixed. trash services are NEVER on time but they will leave a notice outside your door for your trash being in the hallway for pickup if it’s an hour early. If people park in your covered space that you pay for, and you get the car towed- management will call you with a very snarky attitude asking where you sent the car. the door locks are not reliable so i highly recommend taking your key with you. There is more to go on about but moral of the story i would 100% not recommend choosing this place as...
