My family and I came here May 26th. We had a few coupons and ordered two bean and cheese burritos, two del beef burritos, and two del burgers and a drink. The guy at the front helped me out and was kind of annoyed I had coupons. We went into the play area and I noticed right away how dirty it was. I don't think they sanitize it at all and they had enough employees there to send someone out and clean the lobby area including the kids area-it was gross. My del beef burritos were taking a long time and I had to tell the cook in the back what I was missing because he had asked me what I was waiting for. I noticed in the time I was standing there that the cook, Alex, ( I know his name because a couple people called his name while I was standing there.) Well, he had gloves on and was touching his apron, pants, face, the garbage can. My stomach hurt knowing my children bad just ate the food this man just made. I stopped a girl walking infront of the counter to let ask her if she could let Alex know to change his gloves. I was so embarrassed asking her to do this that I asked her to ask him when I walked away. I sat down and literally watched the whole time to see if the girl was going to tell him and I'm not sure If she did, but he never changed his gloves. I was DISGUSTED. Then the same girl I tell later was walking out to leave for her shift and took her hat off and let her hair down while she was still half in kitchen area. I finally looked at my husband and asked him if we could leave because I could NOT be there anymore. I love Del Taco. I live 3 minutes away from this location and I am pregnant. I love eating it right now. After seeing that I went home and cried because I will now have to be going to the Roy location because that is the cleanest restaurant I have been to for a Del Taco. I will be calling corporate and I will be calling Osha and the health department. I can only imagine what else goes on at...
Read more88 minutes in a drive thru line is unacceptable. If you are this understaffed/slow, post a sign at your entrance to the drive-thru that says your wait time. The drive-thru is a single car lane and there are curbs/grass/sidewalk/rocks/and signs on either side, so once you go in and a car comes behind you, you cannot get out. When I called and someone answered the phone and as I was inquiring about the wait time, your employee went silent, I could hear him in the background, and then he hung up on me. When I got to the window, three employees were standing around shooting the breeze. When they gave me my order, I checked it and half of it was missing. They then had the audacity to tell me one of the tacos wasn't showing up and I clearly had it on my phone on the receipt. When I asked if they could post a sign at the entrance of their drive-thru so other customers could be informed/spared of this wait time, the girl was extremely rude and said "No, call corporate about it, have a good night" and then shut the window on me as I was speaking. Food itself was cold and...
Read moreWell here's the deal. I love del taco. I love eating tacos at 2 am and i love that i can get 5 of them for less than 5 bucks.
This location has always been good to me, staff are friendly and hardly ever get my order wrong. It's good and I will continue to eat here... But some days the wait time is legendary, like 20 or more minutes just sitting in the drive thru line trying to order. Oh and then there's the wild inconsistencies in the food itself, is my taco shell going to be cracked into 50 pieces or softer than the cheese inside? How much lettuce can they stuff in one fifty cent taco? And why does the bag occasionally smell like someone was smoking and prepared my food before washing their hands?
I get it, fast food is fast food. I'm not expecting Gordon Ramsey level stuff and it has to be painful working in there when it's busy. Let's just hope those employees get compensated well and your order comes with a little...
