Southfield Commons Shopping Center — Local services in West Windsor

There is a UPS Store here with a very nice woman who runs it, but aside from that, the supermarket anchor store is WAY overpriced (think: Grocery prices for the stars, I guess). There is also a small bagel store at one end of the shopping center, but it's pretty depressing in its complete lack of decor or any ambiance. Back to the super market: Did I mention how outlandishly expensive it is? Perhaps there is no other grocer in the immediate area, so its an example of how having a monopoly is anti-consumer as it drives up prices while overall experience suffers. A typical strip mall. Highly visible from the main road; access ok from a side road. A typical selection of stores for a suburban strip. Highlight: McCaffreys supermarket is the anchor store, including a McCaffreys wine and spirits shop - not all of their stores have one. High quality, small chain, excellent produce and prepared foods, bakery and cheeses, rivaling Wegmans and Whole Foods except for size, definitely a cut above the other big supermarket chains. It's OK for an open mall. McCaffrey's owns the bulk of it. Good clean supermarket, but high on the price side. They also own a liquor store, which is attached. There are 3 restaurants; Italian, Chinese and Indian. All of the food is good, but I'm not a fan of Indian food. Nail salon, hair salon, dry cleaner.
