Great national Park! The Park has very good infrastructure. Everyone has to visit this National Park at least in lifetime. Definitely plan this national park on your bucket list. The park is amazing: there are endless forests and LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of Geysers and hot springs. And Yellowstone is home to the biggest geyser on earth which is called Steamboat geyser. There are plenty of bison deer and moose. So if you really want to see a bison than go to Yellowstone. Also if you're in Yellowstone you will definitely be planning to go to the Yellowstone Lake wich is enormous and to the Lower falls (Artists Point) wich is almost as beautiful and amazing as the Grand Canyon. Also definitely VISIT the Mammoth hot springs wich is almost equally beautiful as the Artists Point. Artists Point has lots of different colors as pink, yellow, white (the most) and others. The colors form because of different minerals wich are in the earth. A hint: Re-fuel your car before driving into the park and buy lots of food unless you are staying in a campground or hotel wich has a grocery store (wich is usually very expensive). So definitely visit the Park.
Thanks for all! National...
Read moreMammoth Hot Springs is a complex of hot springs which can be accessed along boardwalk trails. You can find parking in small lots along the Grand Loop Road. After visiting Norris Geyser Basin, we arrived at around 10:15 am on Saturday (9/5). We actually ended up parking in 2 small lots so we could do less walking. The parking situation can get hairy because you may not always find a spot. We spent around an hour walking on the boardwalk. It can get hot and there is no shade.
Don't miss Liberty Cap which is one of the highlights here.
After leaving this area, we drove on the 1.6 mile Upper Terrace Loop. The loop is one way and there are small areas to park. You can try to find parking to see the Overlook but parking can be difficult. We spent around 45 minutes at the Loop.
I would recommend going to Mammoth Hot Springs in the morning when there are less people and it...
Read moreThis was one of my favorite locations at Yellowstone NP. We visited during the month of July, and it was absolutely gorgeous! We were there mid-morning and didn't have terrible crowds. A parker ranger even stopped to talk with us for a few minutes about the springs while we were walking around the boardwalks and told us that there was a herd of elk over near the town that we could see as we...
