Riverside Geyser — Local services in West Yellowstone

My fiancé and I were hiking to see the Morning Glory pool, and we just happened to notice steam rising over the trees. We jogged over and saw this geyser going off! The Ranger said we were really lucky as the Riverside Geyser typically only erupts about every six hours, and lasts about 20 minutes. Riverside Geyser is one of the ‘must see’ geysers in the YNP! It currently erupts every 5 1/2-6 1/2 hours, so check the day before you are planning to go. The setting, on the bank of the Firehole River is beautiful and usually less crowded.
