DO NOT SHOP HERE. As a bride who hadn’t tried on dresses before I was super excited. I am also on a super tight budget as my fiancé and I are paying for this wedding ourselves so I thought consignment was the way to go. WRONG. From the moment I walked in and told the girl my budget and that I liked the dress in the window, she rudely told me that dress wasn’t in my budget without even going to check the price tag. After looking at dresses and realizing nothing was my in my budget and my loved ones telling me they would help, I came up on my budget. Didn’t even tell the girl she just overheard and started pulling dresses.
I did find a dress and put a down payment on it. At the time of purchase, I was told I have 45 days to pay off the dress - cool. After a week of really contemplating my choice and budget, I looked online to find I could get a dress much much cheaper that was brand new. So I called back and tried to get my deposit back and was told no. I explained that I wasn’t told at the time of the sale that my deposit was non-refundable. The manager then told me I should’ve read their sign when I was at the register. EXCUSE ME? It is YOUR EMPLOYEES JOB to tell me the conditions of the lay-away at the time of purchase especially on such an important purchase. All I was told was that I had 45 days to pay off the dress. The sign that they expect people to read is a clear glass sign with black lettering. Their website doesn’t say all sales final. The receipt does say it but if you have the receipt then that means the purchase was made. Basically just a big ploy to screw people over. I am so disappointed with this experience especially for being such a big moment in my life. Not to mention, the dress has SEVERAL flaws. Do not waste your time at this store. You could easily find a brand new dress elsewhere for cheaper at a store that actually cares about...
Read moreI didn't purchase my wedding dress here, however, i did purchase all of my bridesmaids and flower girl dresses here. Walked out with 9 dresses in one day, but then as the big day approached I actually needed more dresses. They do not accept returns, only consignment (which they try to sell the item for you, up to 6 months, after that you need to come back and pick it up, if it does sell they will send you a check for 50% of what it sold for) In my wedding the bridesmaids dresses were all different colors that complimented each other very well and the girls loved them! It is a consignment shop so you need to be patient. They have many brand new dresses also, but what they have is what they have, no extras, no special orders, and they do not hold items overnight. But if you go in Sunday afternoon and like something, you're pretty much safe until Wed evening when they open again...thats what I would do if I wasn't sure of an item. Cuz again once you buy it there's no returning, only consignment. I was in there couple times a week just to see the new selections. Prom or other formals, wedding dresses, mother of the bride outfits etc. Customer service was excellent and the environment is welcoming. I would definitely recommend stopping here and checking out their selections while dress hunting. And I suggest an appointment to try on wedding dresses cuz it does get busy, plus they use the front dressing room which is roomy. There are a few more dressing rooms in the...
Read moreTook my sister-in-law out to Twice Upscale today. She is a new bride and this was her first experience dress shopping. I called about an hr before we got to the store to make sure they were going to stay open due to the weather. They told me they had no plans of closing and so we drove an hr and made our way there. When we walked in the people working gave us the dirtiest most confused look. Barely greeted us. We told them what we were there for, they gave direction on sizing and let us go. Maybe 15 min later she had 6 dresses to try on. My sister-in-law proceeded into the dressing room (again no one working went in with her, no one working offered to help zip/button her, nothing). She got half of her first dress on and someone working came up and said "uhm, we are closing now". Shocked at the comment I turned towards them confused and asked if she could try on the 5 dresses she had left...? The employee responded "well if you hurry". I told my sister-in-law to forget it, leave the rest and we headed to Lilla's bridal boutique just down the road. Could not believe the utter disrespect. The least they could do was lock their doors and let us and the other group of 2 finish. None the less, make the bride feel the least bit special. Sorry not sorry Twice Upscale, you lost customers and you also lost a possible sale today. HIGHLY RECOMMEND LILLA'S BRIDAL. The best customer service and most beautiful selection. Made the bride feel...
