Crazy Tomato — Restaurant in West York

While I think the food is good, my first experience of this place wasn't. I ordered a large salad with our meal and we didn't get it. I called right away and they gave some excuse that we missed the salad sitting on the counter but there was nothing sitting there. I said I wanted a refund - totally justifiable since I didn't get what I paid for - but said he didn't or couldn't, something about a manager not being there and he didn't know how to so he said we would get the salad next time we order (which is not fair cause that's assuming we want to eat there again). I said ok and asked him to take my name and he said just tell us that we owe you the salad the next time you order and we'll give it to you, being the trusting person I am, I believe him (should've known better). He didn't tell me anything else. Two months later, we ordered again. I tell them about the salad ordeal and the guy said that it was too long ago....I don't think that should matter, if you owe me the food, you owe me the food, PLUS the guy didn't tell me there was any time limit (we don't order there often due to the location and we had a big Disney vacay so we weren't eating out as much). I know it's just a salad but that is cheating your customers out of what they paid for and...

I usually have a pretty good experience with the Crazy Tomato in West York. But last night was unacceptable. I called and placed an order where I was told it would be READY in 45 mins. So we arrive around 50 mins later, to give them a little extra time. Well when we arrive we are told that the Stromboli hasn’t even been started yet. No apology no nothing. So we waited around for everything to be done, while we waited we saw nothing but the employees yell, swear and argue. (At one point I thought there would be a fight). Like I get if you’re busy or understaffed. But there was 4 people there working. After an hour and 20 mins my boli was ready and we paid. Again we didn’t get an apology, just got attitude from the man who rung us out. We walked back home with our food and of course having to wait so long for the boli to cook, everything else was cold.

We will have to think twice about going back now after this...

Called in an order to be delivered the next day. Giving plenty of time to prepare. I made sure I gave them a 15 min cushion time being it was a big order of 21 different things. Lunch didnt start until 12:00 asked to be delivered at 11:45. Remember it was the next day we needed it. They were called at 1210 asking where it was they said just walking out the door. Shows up at 12:20. No apologies. I called them back asked for owner. He Wasnt there they said I can talk to the person in charge. I said yes. He got on the phone I told him who I was. I said do you know our order was 35 minutes late. He said yes. I said do you realize it was over $200. He said yes. I said do you realize you just lost a big customer. He said yes. I said okay then good bye. No apologies NOTHING! Apologies or explanation goes a long way. There food is great but not trying it a 3rd time of them delivering on time when we need to...
