West Shores Market — Local services in Westmorland

True story.... So I'm trying to return some very stale bread and Graham crackers to the West Shores Market about an hour ago and I receive my refund. But...after about 30 seconds, the Korean owner starts talking real fast like something's wrong, but I can't understand him. I soon come to realize that he's VERY upset because there's 2 pieces missing of bread and 2 Graham crackers!! Not 3, not 5, just 2. lol So, I very calmly tried to explain to him that I had to first try the bread and crackers in order to determine they were bad. But oh no, he wasn't having any of that. He demanded that I pay back the money for the bread and Graham crackers!!! I kid you not. Wow... So I calmly tell him that I have no problems paying him back the $6 whopping dollars and tell him to throw the bad items away like like he should have at first.

Well, by now he's shaking he's so mad and he tells me to never come back. Again...wow.

I tell you in all sincerity that that was the most embarrassing public situation I've ever been in. There was a line of about 5 or 6 people and all I wanted to do was run away from the very unpleasant situation.

But...to basically accouse me of trying to return an item so I can get 2 free pieces of bread or Graham crackers makes me want vomit all over him. The owner has absolutely no class and does not deserve your business.

Do yourself a favor and just go to the dollar store. No stale food, and no angry owners.

Its not a big store. It's a mom and pop type of store. The USPS is inside the store. The people are very nice.There is a fresh meat counter.. I'm not sure the restroom I'd.for public use..When we first.moved here and went there for the first time, I asked if they had a restroom.. I sm disabled and the lady st the check out took me to the restroom and showed me where it is. The post office is busy because its where most of the people that.live in the surrounding little cities. have to have s.post box as the mail does not deliver out here.. There are s very few people that have gotten mailboxes..but they aren't to your house.. They are out on the street I'm little bunches in distances so most.people drive...

It’s a Mom and pop’s shop just trying to survive during and post Covid, mask is a must or no service. It’s fair to say everything has 30% markup, it’s a business, if you don’t like it go elsewhere. Personally, I’d shop here simply for pure convenience because it definitely has more than what a gas station has to offer. I only came here for beer and potatoes, I didn’t need cheese or milk so I can’t confirm the previous reviewers post.

Pros: it’s has everything but for a price. Cons: no public bathroom. Mask...
