This was the most disgusting, time consuming , and absolute test of patient EVER! I never write negative reviews but in this case I felt the need to share my experience. Hopefully, others will read and stay away from this company completely! I am familiar with donating plasma and frequently visit Octopharma Plasma in Gretna, LA. Decided to switch to a closer location to home, so I stopped by CSL. The whole staff should be FIRED. Nothing but young and enexperienced people trying to do a job that is so basic, I don't see the reason for such poor performance? Explicit music playing from a phone of a staff member in the lobby on the speaker, I waited over an hour and had to repeat multiple processes due to the fact the staff failed to inform me correctly about how things were done. The technician took my vitals and temperature but I had gum in my mouth so it was two points over! Had she told me that would effected my temperature I would have taken it out before! Came back the following day because I had been told that I couldn't donate due to that for 24hrs, upon returning I once again had to watch the 30 min video and enter kisok, (they lost my information) and couldn't tell me why. At this point I am beyond furious and doubt I will EVER return! How about changing the policy so that people know more, and getting your staff to explain protocol correctly instead of, chatting amongst each other as if they are high school friends. This is your JOB for god's sakes! You should try to make the experience positive for visitors as they are the reason lives are being saved! will be contacting corporate, as I took the names of the ladies who cause this...
Read moreWhere shall I start? Well first off at the beginning of the year they stopped giving donation points out (which helped out some-after you collect so many you can turn them into money) & that was a big downfall in my eyes. THEN the cost of a replacement card went up from $5 to $5.95 so anytime you lose your card it costs you $6 to replace it basically. THEN they got these NEW MACHINES that SUCK!!! It takes the poor girls that stick you FOREVER to set them up (NOT their fault by any means but still EXTREMELY ANNOYING to stand in the line waiting for a bed for an hour to 2 hrs) THENNNNNN I go in today & I ALWAYS check my app & make sure it's my correct day to go & how much $ I'll be receiving & my app said $30 (like it ALWAYS does for my first day of the week) I get in there & deal with the wait & all that nonsense JUST TO BE TOLD that I'm only getting $25 cuz they changed the pay scale & since I only weigh 137 I now get $5 less than before & I know this all sounds kinda petty from afar BUT when you're like ME whom rides the bus an hour there & an hour back it ALL has become TOO MUCH!!! If I DIDN'T NEED the $40 I'm gonna get on Saturday I wouldn't go back but I PROMISE I WON'T GO BACK AFTER THAT. RIDICULOUS. BE PREPARED TO SPEND SEVERAL HOURS IN THERE. BTW the older nurse is VERY RUDE. I ALWAYS say hello & ask how her day is goin & she never responds nor does she thank me or say ANYTHING at all. It's ashame that the only TRULY friendly ones are the 2 main girls in the afternoon/evening...the lady that has the black head cover & the younger girl with dreads. They are amazing & I wanna give them their...
Read moreI must say first that most of the employees are awesome. Now let me say why I wouldn't give this place 1 star if I could. The management are rude! I brought my son with me to donate, he has dyslexia and needs help. They made him wait for 3 hours on more than 1 occasion and this was his 12th donation. I explained once again to the lady that my son had a disability. She sighed heavily and shook her head. Very nasty. I asked her if she had anyone in her family with dyslexia and she didn't say anything, she just kept her attitude . I was donating plasma at the time I saw a man being guided to the restroom back to the donating area. I asked the nurse if he got sick. She said no, he is blind. I then asked what the procedure was for people with visual a impairment. They are supoosed to be asked the question from the person taking the bp, weight etc... that's not what they did my son and I explained to them each time that he has a disability. I have witnessed alot of management doing what they want except when the big dogs are there. It's called discriminating and I have 0 tolerance for people that discriminate in any way. I will not be going here anymore OR referring anyone to this place. They made my son feel like he is a problem and... screw that place and the people that make it a bad experience . For all the other nice employees that work there that are always talking about looking for another job... I don't blame them. I wish them much luck on finding a better situation. This is the one in Kenner on Williams bld. Don't know why it's saying...
