I 100% regret signing my lease. I didn't get to see my apartment until after I signed, my set up compared to the demo unit is a joke. My apartment is on the opposite side of the parking lot. I have to walk over a block to parking. And there is never anywhere to park, but we're consistently threatened to be towed if we park in the lot behind my building. Everyone here is incredibly rude. The place is always littered with trash, dumpsters are always over flowing, if you take the trash out at night expect to encounter 5+ raccoons. Did I mention that there is always trash everywhere?? It's really ridiculous. I tried to keep up with it but I was picking up atleast 3 empty beer bottles on every trip to my car. Don't be fooled by the MySpace angles of the tropical paradise they elude in the photos on line. It's all crap. The pool is closed more than half the year. When it is open there is an angry old woman there that smokes cigarettes and tries to yell at your kids. But yeah, the pool is closed for over 6 months, even though louisiana weather is hot year round. The pool for my kids was a HUGE deciding factor for me, I've lived here 6 months and have been able to hit the pool one time. The playgrounds are all dirty and always have older middle school to high-school kids fighting, not somewhere I want my 5 and 6 year old playing. And the laundry room. Jesus christ the laundry room. I didn't think not having washer dryer hook ups in the apt would be that bad. I'd never had to deal with such a raggedy laundry mat. The machines never work. The dryer needs 3 full cycles to dry clothes. There is no ac or even decent fans, so when the mosquitos are out its an absolute nightmare. I'd rather throw all my clothes away and buy new ones than deal with this pathetic Landry room. Also they don't have a damn quarter machine on the premises. Did I mention the cats? My building has about 5 stray cats that wander about. One of them died on the sidewalk and stayed there for 4 damn days. FOUR DAMN DAYS. Is that the conversation you want to have with your 5 year old daughter on the way to school? This place is an absolute joke. The people are rude. The place is always nasty. No pool access. The laundry room is a nightmare. And I pay more to live here than for the 3 bedroom house I rented before moving here. I came here to save money but I pay the same with no amenities and dirty and rude atmosphere. It's the worst.

Read more100% transparency. I moved here from Houston. My last apartment was condo style so this was already a step down and I set my expectations pretty low. I will say maintenance responds fairly quickly. Office staff…pretends they care but as soon as you have an issue the true attitudes come out. I’ve had two instances where they took their precious times. Rent prices are all over the place. I could blame the economy but I’ve conversed with quite a few neighbors and the prices range from my neighbor paying $750 to a lady across the property paying $1100 and I make sure they are one bedrooms when I ask(the same as mine). My biggest issue was the bed bug problem I was blamed for a forced to pay the pest control. $600. Not to mention my neighbors all had them and just chose not to report it because of the fee that comes attached that most people cannot afford on top of their rent. I did not have bed bugs prior to moving here and I work from home. I literally go to the corner store and back home. Had the cleaning done and within 3 weeks mot only were they back, but my neighbors across from me sad she’d had them for months before I moved there and just waited until she could afford it…….. I don’t blame her but 9/10 that’s where they came from. Pool is NEVER clean. Parking lot is always full with visitors and non visitors. Apartments falls apartment with zero help. It’s just not worth $1150 a month....
Read moreI love my apartment but hate it all at the same time. The walls are super thin I can hear every single noise the neighborhood behind me makes, (including when he's banging someone I can hear the bed squeeking and him snoring) and the neighbors on side of me smokes weed and I can literally smell it in my closet and bathroom. I have a son that just made 1 and smoking is not something I'm trying to introduce to him. 😒 Ughhh I regret signing my lease about a month or so ago and can't wait for it to be over already. This is absolutely ridiculous. Ohh let's not forget about the parking omgggg!!!!! It's even worse. I am a manager so getting up at 3am to drop my baby off by his grandmother so I can go to work and having to walk blocks away plus watch out for raccoons is stressful. Tanglewood can definitely use an upgrade. I will not resign my lease when the...
