Rude, Disrespect & Extremely Unprofessional to a point I believe it is a Racist thing! I went there 3 times and they told me what I need to have for my wife ID. On the third time I have everything, but this black man refused to give my wife ID and told us that they don’t have a VN person to translate her birth certificated. Then one VN soldier step up and told us all that he would be very happy to translate anything they need. Instead say thank you they rudely shout at the soldier “SIT DOWN AND NOBODY IS TALKING TO YOU!” However, when I went in to have my ID the lady helping us say she would be happy to give my wife the ID too because everything looks just fine to her. Suddenly that black man walks over and face his back to me and my wife and keep whispering and argue with the lady helping us. Later she looks at us and told us that they would need 2 identification with pictures. I gave her my wife passport and her college student ID with picture. But the black man refused still and told the lady to tell us they want my wife social security card and that is the only identification they will accept! I went there twice before, and they told me I would not need her social security card if she doesn’t have it yet; all they would need is her passport and another picture ID and that is all! I already contact the base CO and hopefully they will do something about the people working in the ID Cards Office or let me know who I need to contact … if not I will have to write to DC straight to the president himself if I have too. IT’S NOT ACCEPTABLE TO BE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL TOWARD OUR SOLDIES AND VETERANS AND TO THINK THEY MIGHT EVEN HAVE RACIST PEOPLE WORKING FOR...

Terrible Service. I called multiple times over a period of several days and never was able to speak to anyone. The Rapids appointment scheduler didn't have an opening available, so just decided to walk in at 0730 on a Friday morning. About 3 dozen other people did the same thing, except they apparently knew the building opened at 0630 for the people obtaining base passes. So I was way back in line when the ID window opened at 0730. I didn't stay very long...extremely slow line just to get a number to be served. I was told by someone there they had waited 3 hours with half the people on their previous visit. Go somewhere else to get your ID card. I need an ID card for my daughter as she is going to college. I tried the Rapids Self Service website, but it wasn't working, so after calling them I downloaded the DD 1172-2, filled it out and had it notarized. Now she can go on her on to get it done...she will be dropping in at Barksdale AFB to get it in the near future. They actually answered the phone on the first try and were very nice. You might also try Sheppard AFB...you can use the Rapids appt scheduler for that place. It's worth the extra drive to go somewhere...

Trying to add my daughter and son to my deers. The first time it was just my daughter and they told me a needed her birth certificate along with her SS card. I waited for my son to be born so that I could knock them both out at the same time. I went in with both of their SS cards and birth certificates. I was then told I needed the acknowledgement of paternity for both. So i returned again and the computers went down. I returned a 4th time and was told that i needed an ID card and that I would have to bring in my DAV along with what I had. The 5th time I was told that the previously accepted acknowledgment of paternity letters were now no good because they were copies. Even though these are the ones we had ORIGINALLY received from the hospital the day of my children's birth. This place sucks, the staff is extremely unhelpful and rude. Instead of telling you EVERYTHING you need they tell you one piece at a time. Through drive time to and from home and waiting in the lobby I've spent around a little over 7hrs of my life to talk to someone for 6...
