The ONLY natural water falls in the Fort Worth area of any significance. A delightful place to visit. One can kick off one's shoes, (though it would be best to have water shoes or sandals), and wade through the various tiers of water.
It is about a 10-12 foot drop from the top to the bottom with several tiers of cascades. Each level or tier offers its unique flavor of wading through the water.
It's a little stretch to climb from one tier to another using the rocks on each side near the wall. The wet rocks weren't too slippery when we were there and it was certainly pleasant on a warm or a muggy day.
If you look carefully under the overhang of some rocks, you might see a water snake sheltering there (the one in the photograph was non poisonous).
A great place to bring small children or family and let them enjoy the beauty of being outdoors in nature.
The Falls is about a 5-minute on a very nice concrete walkway from the parking lot for a healthy person. Be aware that there is poison ivy growing in places on the side of the walkway. I started coming here ten years ago, back when there wasn't even a paved parking lot. They've made a lot of improvements since then. There's a misting station, a semi-covered pavilion, and a portable toilet. An enormous airplane sculpture towers over you as you enter the park. No playground, but my son loves riding his bike over the bridge repeatedly and using his fishing pole in the creek. We always have tons of fun when we come.
Just plan your visit so that you're not trying to exit the park while everyone is leaving the base at the end of the day. It's a nightmare trying to make that unprotected left turn when there's a steady stream of...

Update to this previous review....with any play be cautious of critters. We just met a copperhead in the rocks at the bottom of the falls. 3-14-2024 Still beautiful here.
4/12/24 Update The falls are peaceful today and busy with life, but this was interrupted by two darker females with a small dog arguing and smoking dope through a vape on the cliffs by the bridge. I want to return here. I hope that type of activity does not continue in the future here. I have provided a photo...
