Dollar General — Local services in Wheeler Township

Was up at the store just before 9am Saturday. In Breckenridge, Michigan. No other cars in the parking lot. The lady ON THE PHONE yelled “hello” from the back office still ON THE PHONE. My daughter and I were in there for about 6 minutes. Got a few items. She came to the register STILL ON THE PHONE, rung us out STILL ON THE PHONE. Never once stopped to even look at us. STILL ON THE PHONE. I informed her there was a basket in the middle of the parking lot STILL ON THE PHONE. Went out and got it STILL ON THE PHONE. She retrieved the basket STILL ON THE PHONE. Went back in the store STILL ON THE PHONE. When has anybody gotten paid to be on the phone while on the clock of a business. Unless you’re a telemarketer. This isn’t the first time I’ve been in a dollar general that this has occurred. When is it going to stop that an employee thinks when at work that’s it’s their social time. Floors could have been swept, shelves stocked, windows cleaned etc. When are employees going to be held accountable. When are employees going to have some pride in their work ethic. It's June 26, 2018 .. I just stopped and grabbed a few items . Two clerks were bad 👄 mouthing an" off the 🕒 clock " sales associate .This is poor business practice . As a senior salesperson , I would lose my job !! As I approached the counter , they continued trashing this girl who wasn't there. I said" hello "🙄🙄 as they didn't .The one whose ringing 👆 up my purchases continues to talk about the other one. Wow .Wow . No manager in sight ...so I wait . The girl at the counter asks me to put in my 💳 .Still talking LOUDLY to other associate . I took my bags and left . They were still gossiping. This makes your company look bad .Very bad .Terrible. Very tidy, cleaned up little Dollar General on the edge of town. Had exactly what we were looking for and we were in and out in no time flat.
