I arrived ten minutes early for my appointment. 30 minutes after the scheduled time, I was still waiting and my stylist still hadn't even acknowledged that I was (still) waiting and was chatting about restaurants and looking at pictures of restaurants on their phone with another client. No sense of urgency or concern for the person whose time they were using. They had only been open for less than 2 hours by that point, so it's not a matter of schedule slip adding up over the day, I understand that things can get away from you as the day wears on. Even then, the difference is when it's handled well. Just communicate and let the customers know that you value their time as much as your own. Thats all it takes. This was my third visit (two actual cuts because at my last appointment I left at the 30 minute mark when I still wasn't seated or addressed and went to my old barber where I was greeted and getting a cut within 15 minutes). The scheduling here just doesn't work well to the extent that I'm not sure what the point is. If I have to schedule, then I don't want walk-in wait times. If I have to block out time on my day off, then I only want similar consideration. been in three times and only once got my haircut started within 20 minutes of my scheduled time. My old barber is walk-in only but I can get my hair cut when I want it. This place seems like it wants to be Rudy's, but I'm not sure that's a good thing necessarily. Sorry Barberella, I tried. My quest to find a replacement for Sky's coninues! Edit: Added a star because the service was good; both cuts were quality. Catherine in particular was great (she also was the only one to seat me within a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām not sure when the going rate for menās cuts in Seattle became $55-65 plus, but if you are charging LA or San Francisco prices, I expect a TOP quality cut with great service. Sadly, Barberellaās aināt it. First cut was pretty mediocre. Lots of errors and spots missed, but credit for good conversation. Second cut was done in under 10 mins with very subpar attention to detail and zero scissor work despite needing it. Felt like churn-and-burn super cuts, but 4 times the price. I am returning to a new barber this week to have the top of my head styled because it was totally neglected. Another thing that got me was not being able to return a hair product that was sold to me despite being told I could. Gotta train your people on this. Small business 101.
For the price, Iād expect a straight edge razor on the neck, but sadly missing here. sideburns evened out? Eyebrow trim? Not here. Was not offered a shampoo on the first visit. Gotta nail the little things and go the extra mile. Customers paying this price point $$$ deserve this!
Unfortunately, quality and value were shorted here. Twice. Iāve only recently become a āreviewā person because Iām tired of paying 40% more for services post-lockdown only to be let down by a subpar product. It seems to happen far too often these days. Iām trying to find those diamonds in the rough that I know are still out there. Sadly, this shop has a ways to go. The...

While the haircuts here are excellent, the customer service leaves much to be desired.
I called to cancel an appointment a couple of days in advance, yet I still received a reminder on the day of the appointment. When I called again on the day of, no one answered during business hours, so I left a message. Despite this, I received a no-show text. It's sucks because the stylist could've made another appointment. I wasn't charged a no-show fee, so thanks?
On a previous visit, I arrived on time but had to wait 40 minutes past my appointment time. This makes me question the point of having appointments. I understand things happen but if there are delays, they should communicate that to the customer before coming in or when they arrive.
This week, I called to make an appointment, which was confirmed verbally. However, when I arrived today, I was told I didn't have an appointment. They told me I can comeback later or next week. They obviously don't respect people's time.
Additionally, it's noticeable that management doesn't support their staff. I've heard a couple of staff members discussing issues with their paychecks on multiple occasions. I'm glad they are comfortable with discussing but again it sounds like management...
