I started visiting Taboo about a year or so ago. When I first became a patron I always felt very safe and welcomed -- this is really important as a female customer in an establishment that caters to the adult industry, including an arcade with booths and a theater area.
Initially my visits were welcomed and I was asked to promote them; recently I was informed there is a lot of law enforcement activity at this location and I was treated horribly in a public manner by the owner of the establishment. Besides being publicly shamed from across the room in a very unprofessional manner we were told we associated with someone else who was "a problem".When we called back to discuss the issue, we were told the owner was "gone" (this was maybe five minutes later).
If I could give taboo a lower rating I would. I no longer consider it a safe space to visit for anyone interested in the adult theater scene at all, and particularly not for women or couples. There are many other, safer, better and friendlier options in the Seattle...
