My washing machine is under warranty and Samsung dispatched this company to repair it. The technician they sent was named Kevin. He was here all of 10 minutes, told me my motor was bad and that he couldn't come fix it for another week, left the undrained water in the machine and told me if I wanted it out, I should get a shop vac. I called Samsung and they told me he should have brought something to get rid of the water, as the ticket clearly stated it was a drainage issue. Fast forward a week later...same tech returns to my home, again knowing it is a drainage issue...and informa me he will need some bath towels to catch the water. He doesn't ask, just tells me he needs them. I have expensive bath towels and under no circumstances was I using them to catch water that he should have removed in the first place. I located some old rag clothing that was going to be thrown out. His response was he would do what he could but if he got to a point where it didn't soak up the water he would have to quit. Don't use this company. They come unprepared and are rude. Additionally, when I called tech support to report this, he called his operations manager to try to cover his butt. They, in turn, called me and we're also rude. The tech left my home, refusing to repair my machine, all because I would not give him my expensive towels to clean up the mess he would have to make to repair it. Unfortunately for them, Samsung got the exchange and the way the repair tech spoke to me on a recorded call.
Update:. The "owner" response here is very misleading, folks. I offered this tech every rag I had. I have had home repairs and appliance repairs in the past and the company or contractors have always brought everything needed to make the repair and clean up. As I said, the Samsung center has the tech recorded being rude to me in my own home. This gives me every right to contact someone whether he is in my...
Read moreEDIT- As the business said, Callahan did order the part on the 13th (still three days later, not sure why), and GE sent a second part directly to us to expedite when I called them to check on the update. Updating to 2 stars- the tech that initially came out said it'd take a week max, and it took a month to fix our oven. Every time I called customer service to get an update on the part I was told there was nothing I could do, that they'd reach out to GE and get back to me, and they never did call me back. So I'm glad they did the right thing and fixed it, but if you're having a warranty call with them, just have the expectation it'll take a month to fix.
I don’t leave many reviews but I have had an absolutely horrible experience with Callahan. We have them working on our warranty oven repair— not only did the office not even tell us when our appointment was (we found out 10 min before the tech arrived) but our appointment was on Dec 10th, the tech identified the part broken, and the shop did not put the order in until December 27th! That’s 17 days our oven was broken, with no care from Callahan to even order the part. With our oven out of service, we’d expect them to order the part within a day or two of the appointment, especially considering the holidays.
I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere unless you’re stuck with them to help with a warranty request, in which case call the manufacturer directly to follow up and ensure your part is actually ordered if you want your appliances fixed within 2...
Read moreThis year, at different times, our washer and dryer both quit on us. Our washer went out first and the insurance repair company gave us a choice of three repair companies we could use. We chose the first company on the list. Boy, that was the wrong decision. The repairman they sent out was very unfriendly and actually did not seem to have a clue what was wrong with our washer. He left in a huff and said he would be back, but gave us no time frame. I called our insurance company and was told to call one of the other two repair companies on our list. So I called Callahan's Repair Service. They sent out a very nice repairman, by the name of "Matthew".. He was the complete opposite of our first repairman. He was very friendly and he was very knowledgeable. Matthew found the problem in 15 minutes. Then went back to his shop and ordered the necessary part. In about four days he was back and repaired our washer. He even found that Whirlpool had not connected the barrel correctly and corrected that problem for us too. When our dryer went out, we knew who to call. We called Callahan's Appliance Repair and Matthew came back. He diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. In three days he came back and our dryer was fixed as good as new. We definitely and highly recommend Callahan's...
