I’ve always enjoyed my time at Whitewater Cinema. It’s a small business with fair prices. However, the last few times I’ve visited it’s been a horrible experience. Mainly this is because of the public. Teenagers are always working the counter, and ONLY one worker. While I know times are tough this leads to poor decisions. For example, the last few times I’ve gone everyone in the theater is talking and loud. I typically will say to be quiet and this works. Although, this last time tonight was horrible. I went to see the 7:10pm showing of “The Black Phone 2” it was a few college kids, my husband and I and about 10 middle schoolers. This is a rated R movie that they were allowed into. Now, I get it I was a teenager once too but they were horrible. I would say nothing if they just quietly watched the movie. Now when I say they talked the entire time I don’t mean whispered I mean LOUDLY yelling, pushing on our seats, playing tiktoks, making snorting sounds, all while going in and out while also running in and out and in and out. In addition, they were, throwing popcorn, making a lot of noise, swearing, and using slurs. All while walking back and forth up the isles. They returned with a ton of snacks and a trash bag size of popcorn that the cashier gave them and proceeded to mess around with it for the rest of the movie. I would have gone to the cashier, but she knew the boys and was letting them run around the entire theater. Also, she was at least 16 what was she doing to do??! Kick the boys out on her own? Along with the smoking in the theater, allowing people to do whatever they want, and the constant yelling. It’s safe to say I’m done with the...
Read morePros: Convenient, good prices Cons: Popcorn Is not movie theater quality and downright awful, no free refills on icees, I would prefer the seats to not be fold out ones as it’s difficult to place anything on the seat next to you, the volume is too low, the theatre is small and feels like you’re kinda cramped in there, a little cold, needs more lightning.
But it’s a nice place I think the owners could really make this a hotspot by simply getting better popcorn, making it feel more like a theatre the doors to the movies are small and look like bathroom doors, might be expensive but buy recliners or atleast ones that don’t fold out, add more space between the rows, add a coolers and something to make ice cream cookie sundaes like Marcus, I imagine concession sales are, very, low here some Marcus locations offer free icee refills no one is paying to fill it up again and the incremental cost to refill is low, also clean the bathrooms up they were all not flushed, the drinks are also not good, but...
Read moreWe had an unfortunate experience tonight at the movie theater. The parking lot is poorly lit at night and there is a mud area in the middle of the lot that we couldn’t see and got stuck in it. There were tracks of other cars having the same issue. We were all covered in mud. Went in to the theater and a man claiming to be the owner was completely rude to us after we suggested putting cones up so this doesn’t happen to anyone else. The guy does not care about our concerns or anyone’s. Won’t be back ever again. What a horrible experience. We will take our business elsewhere. The response given is a lie. No one cared and we were not rude at all, just suggesting a fix. We were covered in mud. How should we respond? The alleged "owner" was rude and didn't care and would no put cones up to prevent others from having...
