Tangles Salon — Local services in Wichita Falls

I recently had two rows of hand-tied extensions installed, and I am extremely unhappy with the entire experience. After my appointment, I went to the restroom to check how the extensions looked up close. The results were not even or blended. The stylist did the adjustments in the aisle, which felt rushed and unprofessional. The same evening, I noticed the corner of my top row was completely sticking out. I texted the stylist to have it addressed, but the appointment to fix it was pushed out to another day. By this point, all corners were protruding, with some strands sticking out more than an inch. The placement also had the hair wrapped around my ears, and the sections were so tight that it was uncomfortable to pull hair behind my ears. I was informed later that the salon does not offer refunds and does not guarantee installs when the hair isn’t purchased from them. I was never informed of this policy before my service, which felt unfair and misleading.

It’s been less than 2 days, and I’m left with hair sticking out and a lack of confidence in how it looks.

I always love getting my hair done here. MaryAnn does my hair and it always turns out excellent. There prices are high so I can’t go as often as I would like but I look forward to the times I do get to go, about every 4 months. Keep up the good work MaryAnn. Also everyone else I have met in tangles are very nice. I have never met the owner but have seen her, she is a very beautiful woman who has a classy business. Hope to see you all soon. 11/28/2020. I am from out of town and went to tangles because they looked like the price would be reasonable according to their website. I had a root touch up and highlight with a cut. The stylist was rinsing my hair and asked if I wanted conditioner, she didn't tell me it was a treatment, so I said yes I wanted conditioner. At the end when the girl said it was going to be $200, I was completely shocked. They ended up taking off $25 for the treatment, but still, I thought $175 was still very expensive. Also, when she was dying my hair, she left for 25min to rinse and cut someone else, then put my highlights in so the highlights were only in my hair for about 10min and I even made a comment about how they didn't look very light and she made an excuse about how next time I did the highlights, they would look lighter. I didn't want to argue so I let it go, meanwhile I was thinking, yes, they'll be lighter because they will be in my hair for more than 10min.
