My wife and I had been looking for a couch and love seat or a sectional couch in a particular shade of gray. We looked everywhere in town, Furniture Row, Slumberland, Ashley Furniture, and Wichita Furniture and were unable to find what we wanted. I just so happened to be driving past Furniture Traders on my lunch break and decided to stop and take a look at what they had.
The store is a little tight in places to walk around, but that is because of having a such a large inventory for the size of the store. After just a few minutes I found a couch and a love seat in the exact shade that I was looking for. I really liked the fact that there was no pushy sales person like we found at Ashley Furniture. The sales lady did approach me and asked if she could help me find anything, and when I said that I was just looking she backed away and let me be so that I could look around.
The next day I went back to the store and purchased the set. I did use their 90 day same as cash program that they have available. I wasn't sure about the company they used because I had never financed furniture before so I hadn't heard of the company before. I looked the finance company up on the Better Business Bureau and they have an A rating. One thing though, DO NOT buy more than you can afford to pay within the 90 days unless you are prepared for some steep interest rates. This is NO fault of the store at all, in fact the man that worked with me to set up the financing did a good job of explaining the contract and the fee's. Just like any contract be sure of what you are getting in to.
Furniture Traders had the couch and love seat in stock and would have been able to deliver on the same day had I been ready for it that day, but we were moving and was not going to be in the house until this past Saturday. The delivery service delivered the couches early Saturday afternoon. Just one thing to be aware of, the delivery fee does not include unwrapping the furniture or putting it together. This was not a big deal for us.
We unwrapped the couch and as I was putting on the legs I noticed that their was a good sized hole in the fabric of the couch. I called the store and let them know that the new couch had a hole in it. To be fair, the hole was obviously caused at the factory before it was wrapped in plastic. There was no hole in the plastic so the store would not have had anyway to know about the damage. When I called the store they had me take a picture of the damage and text it to the manager. Within an hour we had a replace couch delivered. I was very impressed with their same day service. We will be going back to Furniture Traders if we need any other furniture...
Read moreMy mom use to go here when i was younger & she has a house full of stuff. she’s spent thousands here. i went & purchased my first item, which was a bed frame. i was told it was going to be brand new in packaging. when i got there it had damage on it after i already financed it. the guy was so rude when i brought it up and acted like i was still getting a great deal. i know before they have told me, numerous family members, and my boyfriend that you can look in a catalog to order stuff that’s not in store. when i got my bed frame he stated he could not order anything because whatever came on the truck they got. then why do they have an online catalog to look at? my ex boyfriend ordered a table from them so i feel like i was lied to & ripped off. the bed frame wasn’t even new in the package. it wasn’t in any plastic wrap or box. i then asked if he could wrap it in plastic so it didn’t get ruined in the back of a truck. they literally took old chewed up plastic wrap from other furniture and layed it on the bottom of the bed & called it good. i wanted to look around and get something else but he rushed me out the door so fast. i did not feel welcome nor pleased with my experience. he was extremely rude & felt irritated with me when i was nothing but nice & just wanted what i paid for. bad way to do business if you ask me. yes they have beautiful furniture but i am NOT at all pleased with this place. it’s always been my favorite furniture store to go to but not with the customer service they have. i had my 2 year old daughter with me and we all know how kids can be. she gets excited and she got up on a couch and stood on it while i was trying to help with the bed frame and he looked at me so rude and pointed his finger like i was being scolded by my dad. i really do not think i’ll be spending any more of my money here. i have told my family how my experience was & they don’t approve. none of us will be back.NOT TO MENTION IM MISSING 2 PIECES FROM MY FRAME. and it didn’t even come with instructions to set it up. i’m no idiot but this frame was the most difficult to put together because it’s not just an...
Read moreWHERE DO I START? These idiots have wasted my time from the minute I walked in the door. Bought a bed frame, went home to set up and noticed I was missing a piece. Cool, no big deal. Go back to the store and show them pictures of the bed frame and it’s missing part. They tell me they are unable to give me that part without proof of receipt. Ok, again, no big deal. I go back the next day with receipt and this idiot tells me “oh I’m sorry, you’ll have to bring the whole bed frame back so we can replace it.” So not only was I not told this information the first time I spent my lunch break running around in circles with them, I don’t want a replaced bed frame I simply need a PART. These people have not only been rude they have wasted my time on multiple days. The store is messy, the parking lot is full of trash.
Whatever you do- STAY FAR AWAY...
