Both the programs that WTI offers and the teaching staff they employ are there to provide the knowledge and skills to students that are needed for a career in several different fields. The teachers are phenomenal. They are very understanding and realize that everyone learns things in a different way, and incorporate that into their teaching. They provide all the tools that a person needs in order to succeed, as long as that person is willing to put the work and the effort in themselves. If there is an issue, all a student needs to do is communicate that to the staff, and they will do their best to make things work. The most accurate way I could describe it is an extended on the job training program. That is what they try to impress upon students. To view the programs at WTI as they would a position at a company, since the end goal is just that. The financial aid department is very knowledgeable as well. I've been to several different colleges, and none of them have ever actually sat down and explained to me exactly how the financial side of things work. WTI wants to make sure that those who choose to attend their programs are well informed in all aspects. There is always room for improvement, and whether it was lack of planning, or just simple human error somewhere down the line of communication, there were not enough tool kits for everyone at the beginning of the quarter. It took several more weeks for a new shipment to come in as well. I feel as though the planning and communication between different departments of staff could be a bit better than it is.
Overall, WTI is an excellent choice to consider for anyone who is looking for career advancement or alternatives to traditional colleges. They will give you the tools you need to succed, but you have to be the one to make the choice to reach out...

The problem is... they don't really help you find a good job. Better off checking Craigslist everyday. The Resume they help you with isn't so bad. Except its the same layout they give every student and employers see this and are not usually happy because they know the resume was done for them because they have several that are the same. Personal experience here. Once i created my own resume i noticed a difference in responses.
The computer you get to build. Its Mediocre at best. Not even mid range i dont think.. the tools they give for the electronics class and even for the A+ class are from harbor freight, their cheapest tools that fall apart and just feel cheap.
I mean... we go thousands and thousands in debt for the shitty computer and shitty tools and no help with jobs. I'm fortunate enough to have a good job that i found on my own through Craigslist about 6 years ago... the other people i went to school with are either jobless or in a different field and still have to pay their overpriced school fees.
The office is great though. They never once let up on tracking me down to make sure i paid for the part of school that wasn't covered by grants. I even had a guy swing by my house asking about this. I ended up just paying it all off on income tax after i got it down enough so now i just deal with the government but at-least they are much easier to deal with.
The A+ teacher we had was...
Read moreThe first time I graduated the Integrated Electronics program it propelled my career further than I could have imagined. I came back for a second time when I decided that a change in career venue would benefit me even more. This time I will be graduating the IT program with an Associates degree, and I am looking forward to seeing how much further I will advance!
The class materials for both programs are above par for any education program, they not only teach you theory but practical application as will in addition to actual hands on training. Where other schools only teach you how to pass the tests, WTI teaches you how to actually preform the work.
The staff and especially the instructors are great! The IT and ET instructors are all very knowledgeable and friendly. They will go the extra mile to help a struggling student, so long as that student is putting for the effort of course.
5 stars well earned!
