I have been going to dejongs dairy farm for years! I absolutely love this place and have never had any issues, This last time the ducks were acting like I have never seen before and I thought it was funny and me and my children fed them all our food I went back into to buy more and I said the owners daughter if there was something I can get the ducks because they were "acting like they are starving" willing to buy duck food cause my girls loved it
This lady flipped out on me and TOLD me to call animal control and I wouldn't be the 1st and she went off and telling other customers about how I was telling her that she didn't feed the ducks and I need to be thankful! And yelling at me as I'm walking out after I told her this was very uncalled for because I just wanted duck food..
I could. Not believe this behavior! I respect the de Jong family and dairy farm like I said before I went here when I was little I take my kids we love it I have seen at the Elk lodge for years
But this was very uncalled for for anyone to act like this or even tell me to call animal control because I wanted to feed the ducks cause they were "acting like they were starving"
Wow!! That's all I can say! Control your anger and actions.. very sad for her.
I hope when you read this that this is a very sincere comment and if it continues I don't know how many people will come! I will definitely spread the word about calling animal control which I was advised to do! Thank you daughter...
Read moreWhen we first arrived in our new town of Lake Elsinore, we had our run of new places to see, new restaurants to feast upon and one very special little dairy farm in the middle of it all! This place was special indeed, well loved by the local populous and deserving of such praise and acclaim. DeJong's dairy farm is only minutes away from our home in Lake Elsinore and since our arrival, our go to place for the freshest and finest milk I have ever had in my life! We were also told when we first moved in that we simply must try their chocolate milk because they have the best ever. In fact they are locally famous for it! So we did sample this famous treat and I have to say, I don't know what they do to get this chocolate elixir to near perfection, but I also know I don't care because it is a chocolaty, creamy delight. Practically a food group unto itself you can buy it by the gallon, half gallon, or even single serving size. The prices are excellent for the amazing quality product you receive in return. There is plenty to see here, the staff members are all very friendly and helpful, they sell grains and hay bales if you have livestock of your own, a small shop of DeJong's Dairy souvenirs and apparel, they have even included a Petting Zoo! So if you live within the town of Lake Elsinore, or even the outlying area, and you have never made it to Dejong's Dairy, then you are missing out on a truly unique experience, and one that I think you should...
Read moreI’m not sure why this place has great reviews. I been here a few times in the past 20 years since I was a kid. Their animals look miserable. They have Guinea pigs out in the heat when Guinea pigs are meant to be kept in cooler weather 60-75 degrees. I came here today, it was 95 degrees and the Guinea pigs looked like they were struggling to stay cool. They were breathing heavily, and none of them were getting up. They were just laying there on their sides, struggling. They have been running this farm for 20+ years, you’d think they’d be more educated in caring for animals. Those Guinea pigs need to be taken out of the heat… The chocolate milk that everyone raves about is low quality. I know because my son only get stomach issues with low quality milk. And he got stomach issues after drinking it. The milk has “carrageenan “ in the ingredients. Which is known to be horrible for you. It causes inflammation in the body and can trigger cancer. This place needs a health inspection. They have no hand sanitizer or hand washing station either when they have farm animals that people can...
