I have been in other private hospitals and I had never received service like the service I received in this hospital. This hospital has everything they are so nice, everyone in the hospital is nice to you. I honestly recommend this hospital to everyone. I came in to give birth in this hospital already programmed to go to another one but this one was closer to my house so I ended up switching to the hospital. No regrets. Even though we are going through the Covid pandemic they were able to help me out so much. I gave birth here with the midwife which is something that I want it so bad and didn’t even expect it. The best service ever. Do you even gave me so many tips for breast-feeding, I liked it so much I ended up switching to their outpatient center. And I will continue to come only to this hospital and their clinics.

I’ve been in this hospital for a few days now I am diabetic and I also have congestive hearth failure. There are good doctors like Dr.Ochoa the other doctors don’t even bother to talk to you about the status of your test or case.. I do have a lot of complaints towards the nurses. they don’t have enough for the quantity of patients that they admit. The nurses are so overwhelmed that have rude attitudes For being a hospital you would think it would be clean you share a room and have more of a risk for covid to spread. im on the 3 floor and I really would like to give a big thank you to those who took the time to make the stay here comfortable. Thank you nurse PARIS Thank you nurse VICTORIA,MAYRA,ALEJANDRO, JAMES.

Decent hospital but disrespectful employees throughout the facility. Youve got Sheriff running around attempting to bully people about parking which is unprofessional ah considering they’re “supposedly” not apart of the hospital, some random black lady with no representation of who she was jus randomly posting notes on folk’s vehicles in regards to parking overnight. Well hell if you end up in the hospital for more than a few hrs, i shouldnt be worried about WHOMEVER attempting to ticket or tow my car. Also why are Sheriff parking on the yellow curb that is for patient loading & unloading NOT Sheriff parking i mean who would give a POLICE a ticket for parking in the red… jus completely disrespectful

I showed up around 2pm and didn't know what to expect. I was bracing myself for the worst and once I found the ER, I thought that I had been misdirected into the Los Angels county jail. My wife had to wait outside in a tent for security reasons and I had to be hand wanded before I could be processed in and allowed to sit and wait in the lobby.

I had gone to my regular Dr. earlier but his office had reached its limit of patients for the day. Since two nights before I had been suffering from lower abdominal pains, so I decided to go see my personal Dr. And when that fell through, I looked up MLK. Surprisingly the reviews where mixed, I personally like to give people the benefit of the doubt so I usually read the positive reviews first. Lol. And people were writing about some of the positive changes that MLK had gone through, they seemed pretty convincing considering the physical state I was in. And if you read one of my previous reviews on another urgent care establishment in the city of Downey, you'll find out why I didn't go there.

Anyway, back to my review. My first impression was definitely something like "what the hell did I just get myself into!" There was a young gentleman that was pacing back and forth, talking with an angered voice, making comments about the staff. I do not know what exactly his story was but most definitely impressive to see the MLK security team in action. They quickly took the guy aside and talked him down. I could hear some of what they were saying to him, tactics like "sir, anger is going to get you nowhere, but if you calm down and talk to us maybe we can help you." I was truly surprised. Is this the same MLK that I had heard stories about growing up. That people would die waiting in the lobby because of gun shot wounds. Lol. Maybe exaggerations but those are some of the stories that would circulate about killer King, as it had been known back in the days.

After that incident, my perception started to change. I was promptly seen by a nurse who took my vitals and before I was done with her, I was already being called into another room to have some blood taken for lab analysis. Once I was done with having blood drawn, not even two minutes passed when the Doctor called me into his office. I explained to him what I was feeling and gave him some insight into my medical history. He explained to me what was to be done to figure out what was wrong with me. Then sent me to the part of the ER where patients were placed in gurneys and given their own partition. I was received by an RN by the name of Chantilly. She was friendly and very nice. She said that the Doctor requested a urine sample and told me that once the results of the lab analysis came back that the Doctor would see me again. I waiting no more than 30 minutes before the Doctor came back with word from the lab. They gave me some medication and another one of the Registered Nurses there explained how I was to use the prescribed medication at home. I left there dumbfounded. I could not believe how prompt I had been treated... not only that but the level of courtesy and care that I had been given was awesome. Everyone there looked busy, no one was just standing around doing nothing. If I had to use one word to sum up my experience with, I'd have to say efficient.

Yes, I know. I'm laying all my business out here, but I like to give credit where credit is due. And in my opinion, this hospital is finally starting to live up to the great name...

I hate this hospital so much, I came in with upper abdomen pain and I was given multiple times morphine even though I told them it did nothing only make me feel worst, my head hurts now and my stomach started hurting afterwards. I'm being discharged because they're finding nothing in my results, I'm leaving the hospital three times as worst as I came in. First time coming here and I regret it so much and instead they made me feel like I was only here for the narcotics even though I told them the on first shot it made me feel like horrible, I never want that painkiller again and then another nurse comes and injects more because I was in severe pain even though I told her it doesn't help and probably up the dose higher which had a severe side effects. This is the worst experience I've ever had in a hospital, making me feel like a drug addict but I just wanted to know what was wrong with me, I could care less for the drugs just diagnosed me. I'm even crying while still here typing this. Never come here for any pain cause they'll just accuse you of abusing drugs unless you fractured a bone. Should've just waited at Long Beach memorial even though they had a long wait time, I was just in severe pain but I probably would've gotten more sympathy at Long Beach memorial. These nurses don't care if you're crying or screaming, doctors are so mean and won't even hear you out. They do quick test just to kick you out in the end. They literally had me crying out for death for how their medicines messed me up. I'd give it 0 stars if it was an option, but have to admit they're quick on running test they probably didn't even do right. I came out here cause I was desperate. I'm leaving now with a severe headache, weakness, extreme dry mouth, upset stomach, nausea and severe anxiety. This is the most heartless place to be, specially the doctor I had I kept explaining what it could've been but he kept saying nope nope, test are fine you're fine. Now making me feel like I'm crazy that my pain isn't real, now I'm questioning my state of mind but I know what I feel is real. I rarely type reviews on hospitals but this needs to be said, I've had better help in Long Beach memorial and Los Alamitos ER. I was just impatient on the wait. Now to just deal with pain at home and the emotional stress they caused me. My nurse name was Silvia so watch out for her and my doctors name was Cary Gallardo watch out for...

I went May 3,2024 and had an horrible experience, I walk in to be check out by the ER due to pain in my upper right side of my stomach due to kidney stones and other health issues , I was in a lot of pain and noted to nurse pain is more worse longer I have to sit and I was ensure they ll find me an way to get comfortable, but As soon as I was placed in an cubicle area in emergency room I can notice this wasn’t true even with pain medication I was in lots of pain and mostly due to sitting the pressure was causing way more pain I ask the nurse who was in my section if there was anyway to get me more comfortable to help with the pain because it’s been hours , he laugh say no and walk away I was left with disbelief but sat there another long wanting to cry and walk out due to pain of sitting was causing , doctor finally came out and I can see already mad and frustrated say they needed to run another test I ask if I can get more pain medication and somehow an bed to lay in or two chairs to fix myself and was told no it would be hours and I explain again that I couldn’t keep sitting and she got upset and say well sorry we can’t do anything for you have to sit just pain medication I explain I can continue sitting because the pain and was told then I can just leave with attitude, at this point I got one back then I was threatened that if I didn’t keep my attitude down I would be placed where they take homeless ppl they can’t control or I can leave , I try to record this and was told I ll be arrested and security will take my phone , at this point I ask if they can sent my info to another hospital they say no and I ask for my records for that night they say no come and get them at record office , I decided to leave in pain still in pain as of this review, left because I can tell doctor didn’t care for my health and nurse who laugh when I ask for help and walk away didn’t care at all about my pain , other doctors were nice this one just seems to be having an bad day and taking it at her patients because I wasn’t the only one who walk out that night with the same nurse and doctor who scream at patients with attitude and belittle them and then got upset when they speak back to leave or shut up or go where they placed the...
