This is an absolute must-visit spot, especially during the summer! It has become a family tradition for us, and we make a point to come here at least a few times every year. The kids absolutely adore walking up and down the fields, searching for the perfect strawberries to pick. It’s such a wholesome and fun activity that allows them to connect with nature and learn a little about where their food comes from. The strawberries are always fresh and delicious, and it’s so rewarding to take home what we’ve picked ourselves. On some visits, we’ve also done the blueberry picking, which is just as enjoyable. The kids love the challenge of finding the biggest and juiciest berries, and it’s always a great way to spend time together as a family. But the real highlight for the kids—and for us adults too!—is the ice cream afterward. Without a doubt, it’s some of the best ice cream you can find in Wilmington. The creamy, fresh flavors are the perfect treat to wrap up a day in the fields, and it’s something we all look forward to every time we visit. If you’re in Wilmington, we can’t recommend this experience enough. It’s the perfect combination of fun, fresh air, and delicious rewards!

One of my favorite places in Wilmington! Found the farm the first day I arrived in Wilma. I purchased blueberries which I ate with creme every day I was there! Told my friend in LA how amazing they were and ended up carrying back 2 large packages (one for her, one for me). Got stopped at security as it must have looked pretty weird at the bottom of my carry on bag. The guy who checked it told me he's been there too and loves it. The berries traveled very well. Was sad to see the end of them. Only regret is not being able to pick myself. Your ice cream is fabulous as well and all the young ladies who work at your stand are incredibly courteous and sweet!

Excellent experience to take my mom out to get fresh strawberries and strawberry ice cream. They were busy this time of the year since the season is short. Parking is an experience, to say the least with so many people there. The milk shake was worth the hassle, and really, you only get this experience once a year with fresh berries. I would say I look forward to this yearly trip to Lewis farms with my family. A gallon bucket has increased to 26 dollars, which is getting up there in price compared to other growers we visit. Their prices are about 18 to 21 a gallon.

I have been going to this location back when it was in the woods off Gordon Rd. Well my sister and I went today, and the worker at end of patch was clogging up exit talking to people so we went down one of lanes. As we were walking we picked one or two strawberries, and the worker started freaking out. So we were coming up to building and a couple was eating ice cream n rockers. My sister spoke to them and you would have thought she had leoprosy by their response. So we paid for strawberries got ice cream, and she was gonna purchase a BIG bag of fertilizer so she spoke to a customer cause she thought she worked there. The lady responded sooooo rudley to her. We went to another counter to pay and there was line so, at this point I highly encouraged my sister to just leave her unpaid for stuff there, and left. I will NEVER go to that location again, and I will let A LOT of people know, just like I let a lot know you were there. It takes A LOT to frustrate me and this was a very bad experience also it is impossible to get out of at road. Footnote: .I didn't mention that when we first went into patch to pick, my sister asked if we could pick strawberries at beginning of field. I wasn't thinking, or I would have responded accordingly. I told her we had to go the 500 or so feet to pick where the workers were. To enlighten you, my sister is highly inflammed with artritis from a broken neck 30 or so yrs. So I figured out, my frustration was from the lack of communication for someone who is handicapped, just not in a wheelchair yet, or the fact that these options were not...

Stopped here on a whim with my babies about 2 weeks and I'm so glad we did! The staff was incredibly helpful and sweet!! The produce was amazing and the prices were VERY fair. It was such a wonderful experience that we're going back today! The staff inside walked us through what to do for our first time, hand delivered our basket, made sure we had assistance at the picking fields and were able to accommodate my double stroller. The staff at the field showed me what to look for and how to pick properly. All around amazing customer service and an incredible atmosphere for families!!

UPDATE I tried to do another review but can only edit this one. I picked with my boys again today and had another great experience. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Everyone had a very kind demeanor and was more than accommodating to my children and I. The homemade ice cream was so DELICIOUS!! All of the produce is beautiful and the prices are so good. The staff led us to a new designated area to pick from -for the best quality products. My children and I had so much fun!! I noticed the owner (from the website) was there, working the entire time and greeting everyone. He had such a genuine smile and talked to us directly. What really got me (besides the fact that he was working the whole time) was that he assisted countless customers and carried their bags, flowers, plants or flats of produce to their cars for them. This kind of customer service is almost extinct these days and it really struck me as remarkable. We're going back Saturday for...

The experiences we have had with Lewis Farms for the past 5 years have been nothing but wonderful. However, today was the first time I was more than disappointed with our visit. On numerous occasions we have purchased ice cream within 10-15 minutes of closing. I placed an order (5:53pm - they close at 6:00pm) a milkshake, which is why we went, and was told they were not serving milkshakes because they had already cleaned the machine. The other explanations were it had been sanitized, it had been taken apart, and the manager told them to do it. I asked to speak with the manager. The manager seemed less than pleased of my complaint, but tolerated me. The conversation went around and around as to why they were open, serving ice cream, but no milkshakes. She finally agreed to put the machine back together. I wasn't going to make them put it back together at the point. I was trying to make them aware of my displeasure that turned into something rather exhausting. So, to Lewis Farms, if you're going to have an ice cream shop, and be open, don't clean your milk shake machine so you can get out early from work. If you're going to stop serving milkshakes at a certain time,...
