Ogden Park — Attraction in Wilmington

Cool Park with decent little skatepark and feilds for sports. My kids Pop Warner Football Team plays games out there sometimes, it's the Cowboys home feild. Def one of my fav places to play due to the fact they have a nice scoreboard/gameclock, but never been a fan of the stupid cowbells the fans for the other team use to distract the Away Teams, which works and I see why they do it, but just gives me a headache more than anything! They also end up razzing their own team with them most of the time too! My mom actually got some cowbells to return the favor, but yeah scoreboard is legit and such a plus for football games! Skatepark isn't my favorite and the only park in Wilmington I haven't really ever got good at skating. Don't get me wrong, I can get some tricks and skate the bowl, but was older when it was built, plus it lacks the type of features I normally like to skate and everytime I've been (which is prolly around 3 or 4 times) there's been like 30 kids with scooters and standers and just cramped for lack of a better description! Also doesn't have much flow and no good way to connect bowl to street course or link lines without rolling out of a quarter to flat and turning to street course and hoping not to run into anyone! Don't bring your dogs to this park. We brought our two dogs to this park and one was attacked by another dog that the owner presumably knew the dog's propensity for attacking. After I forcibly removed the white and brown dog named "Ty" , The owner stated "Well he usually doesn't draw blood". My dog has a thick coat so I didn't see the two rather large gashes in the back of his neck until later. I took down Ty's owner's license plate number and will be reporting both of them. My daughter called in advance to reserve a shelter for her 8 yr olds Birthday Party. When she got there they said they didn't get her request to reserve it. They allowed her to use a shelter as long as she agreed to clean up and be out in less than 2&1/2 hours because someone else HAD reserved it. She rushed through the Birthday Party and cleaned up before her 2 & 1/2 hours were up. A few guests stayed around longer and 30 minutes after our party left, two park officials came to check the shelter and empty the trash. NO ONE showed up to use that shelter for at least 2 hours after our rushed through Birthday...
