Carl's Supermarket — Local services in Windsor Charter Township

Hopefully you don't get the older lady checking you out. She's always in a mood. Today I went just to get a few things we needed. I waited in line along with 8 other people, 1 register open. The lady in front of me had finished checking out so I went up to put my stuff on the belt. I was told I had to wait until she had completely left the area before putting my groceries down. I stood back and waiting until she finished digging in her purse and was then told I should have waited four registers down, which is where I was until I saw the cashier hand the lady her receipt. After I was handed my receipt the gentleman behind me came up and started putting his groceries down. He was not told to wait until I left the area and she started putting his groceries into the area where I was still trying to grab my bags from. I will not be returning to this store! If I didn't need groceries so bad I would have left my cart. Can't believe how rude the...

The only two things keeping me from giving 5 stars are 1. High prices 2. Limited selection especially in produce. I really wish I could give more of a 4.5 rating.

With that said everything else about this store is wonderful! Great staff, they take groceries out to your car and actually have baggers to bag your food, it's never super busy so it's a pretty quick in and out, super clean and tidy, local and family owned.

Carl's Supermarket is one of the last reasonably sized grocery stores in the area. Even though they're not super sized they have a broad selection of foods and brands. If you tell them you can't find a particular item on their shelf they'll order it and it will be there the next time you shop. The store is clean and well kept, and the staff is helpful and very friendly. I'll go out of my way to shop at Carl's because I have trouble getting around and sometimes going to a huge store like Meijer, Walmart, or Kroger isn't feasible for me.
