I love my food lion. I am sometimes in there 2 to 3 times a day have never had any problems with anyone. Everyone is usually so kind and helpful but tonight I was crazy and horrible. I went in the store at 9:53 P. M. Just to grab a pack of aspirin for my dad who has Heart problems and the manager was at the register he said we are closed I said but it's not time to close I have 6 minutes he got an attitude with me and was giving me dirty looks talking junk as if he was trying to impress the cashier. Another manager can up to me and asked what I needed to get so I told him he walked with me to get aspirin for my father and apologized the whole way to the aspirin and the whole way to the register. I told him it wasn't his fault and that they should fire the other manager and the other manager noticed I had said that and he told me I was nothing.. News flash I am someone I'm a customer who buy things at your store if it wasn't for customers who are nothing to him he would have no job.. So yes I told him he was nothing. I went on to tell him I come in there each day sometimes 2 or 3 times a day he said we'll I'm here every day. Who cares... Your in customer service act like it or get a new job..... Read moreBeen shopping at this Food Lion in Wingate NC for 7-8years, unfortunately when the new manager stepped in about couple years ago everything went downhill from there- a bunch of items not being stocked, always OUT of something-like ice cream, cereal, dairy products, snacks, chips and soda. The employees that work there are great though but the management is more concerned about what they are doing than keeping up the store; which is crazy cause the employees that work there don’t need his oversight, they know what they are doing. The new management he is the one that needs oversight idk how he’s made it 2-3years to be honest but the the District Manager/the ones that oversee all stores. I quit going there because management has had more than enough time to maybe get it together, I was really hoping for a better outcome but I feel 2-3 years is plenty of time to figure out to get his self together and turn that store back around like it used to be. Read moreThis place is next to a college campus and refuses to use the western union system they advertise. My daughter needed gas money, so I sent it western union since it's walking distance from the school. They were extremely rude over the phone and I HAD TO DRIVE 2 HOURS to fill up her tank because they closed western union an hour and a half early and refused to open it back.
Provide the service you advertise because our experience makes me want to give you zero stars. Friendly...
