Brothers Seafood House — Restaurant in Wingate

I went in for the first time a couple of days ago. The restaurant is closed indefinitely. The fish were fresh and they had a nice selection and the market is clean. I made my purchase and asked for them to be fileted. I was told them would bring it out to my car. I was the only customer and I had purchased 4 fish total. I figured the order should be ready in 10 minutes. After waiting about 20 minutes I went in to see what the hold up was. They said they were almost finished. I went back to my car and after 10 more minutes I was becoming quite perturbed. I am a lifelong fisherman and I know how long it takes to filet 4 fish. I went back in and waited another 5 minutes and finally I was handed the order. So I get home and the fish were partially fileted. What the deuce? The fish had been scaled and the sides cut off. This is not a filet! To filet a fish, the sides are removed and the skin with scales is removed. I could have done those filets in about 2 to 3 minutes per fish. I do not recommend the garlic blue crab. They are obviously not fresh and very very small. I ordered 12 they are $13 for 3. The lady stated she gave 16 because some were small. I Ended up paying $53. I was taken back by how all of those crab fit In A to go tray. Get to my car open the tray and they are miniature crab no meat in these things at all and the meat that I could get was mushy. I’m not sure about the other items they have but this was a big no for me….. I eat blue crab religiously and never seen crabs so small in my life, not to mention I drove from Charlotte to get these…!!!!! Will not be...

Today was our first visit to Brothers Seafood House. The service was excellent, friendly. I bought the fresh Salmon went home cooked it omg it was so good. Bought some fresh shrimp and some flounder fillets plan to fix them tomorrow. The gentleman that waited on me was very nice eager to make my purchase right cuts of fish and to make me a satisfied customer which he did. Then going out the door I saw they prepare cooked seafood meals, omg I am going back for that for sure. Prices were pretty decent knowing the price of fresh seafood.
