Wish I could give them no stars. I had Olivers install gears, ARB air lockers and driveahafts in my Jeep. The first thing that was wrong is I was told that all of this would take about 1 week to install, but it actually took 3.5 weeks. This set my build back a lot because I had another shop waiting to do my brake install as soon as Oliver's was done. Since Oliver's too so much longer, the shop doing the brakes couldn't get to my Jeep for over a month, setting my build back over 2.5 months.
The next thing that was wrong is that the lockers that they installed didn't work. When I connected the air lines to the lockers, the front wouldn't engage and would just send air out the breather vent in the axle. The rear would engage but about 5-7 seconds later would turn my compressor back on, so it was pulsating. Checked all my connections and air lines and everything was good. Pulled the diff covers on both axles and everything seemed good except the copper line in the front housing looked to be loose(I could move it work my hand pretty easily) so I thought the problem with the front was that, I was wrong. I took my Jeep to a different 4x4 shop to get everything looked at and found out that the front locker would never engage because Oliver's never put the seals in. I also found out the rear locker was CRACKED and that's why it was causing the compressor to pulsate. The other shop told me that it looked like Oliver's had dropped the locker when installing it and cracked it and then just put it in anyways.
Now before I had my Jeep picked up from Olivers, I was specifically told that the lockers had been checked and everything worked fine. I was lied to because the other 4x4 shop told me that there was no way the front locker was checked because as soon as you add air to it, it wouldn't lock and would send air out into the diff.
I paid the other shop to fix everything and now have to try and get my rear locker replaced under warranty, and then installed again. I called Oliver's to tell them about everything and their response was "we have a 90 day warranty on all work, sorry but we can't help you since you're past that timeline." I understand I was that time frame when I called, but they also flat out lied to me and broke parts and installed them wrong! Mind you I had all brand new parts to get installed, so it's not like I didn't give them everything...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOlivers is absolutely one of the premier driveshaft companies in the country. I've had several different styles of driveshafts made over the last few years and they are made to very high standards. in addition to their quality, their customer service is second to none. Dave truly cares about his customers and goes out of his way to make sure things are done to true satisfaction. I will definitely continue to purchase from them due to having such good experiences in the past. it's nice knowing that all you have do is give the correct measurements of what you need and the product shows up exactly how you need/want it. Dave even went out his way at the very last minute to help get a driveshaft ready for my rig so I could enjoy a wheelin trip the very next day! needless to say, both front and rear driveshafts were completely abused for 3 straight days and they performed flawlessly.
great products, great service, great people to deal with. how can...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeware, my JKU drive shaft failed after 6 months. Tried to blame me for not greasing , non grease-able u joints. Caused transfer case to crack open. All I asked was help to rebuild driveshaft. was told no luck. No real warranty. Will never do business with them again.
Never asked for them to replace anything for free, only asked for help on drive shaft repair or replacement. fyi Jeep has not been driven 3000 miles. Not sure why owner feels the need to lie about what happened. just another reason to not use them.
You are to ignorant to realize that the 3000 mile service interval you say was not done had not even occurred? What is your excuse for the drive shaft failing now? Again all I asked was for any help you could give me on drive shaft. Glad you admitted that the drive shaft failed and caused the damage. 6 months less than 1500 miles ( All documented) sounds like it was faulty driveshaft. But I will let others draw their own...
