A little over ten years ago, I was shopping for an engagement ring for my then girlfriend. I had a few details in mind but was rather clueless about fine jewelry. I probably visited every shop in Winston-Salem without finding what I had in mind until I visited Ringmaster. The staff as a whole could not have been more accommodating to this naïve shopper. Michael Scott took the time to educate me on some of the finer details of making such a purchase. And while their inventory did not contain what I was searching for, we worked together to create a custom item for my future wife. No other shop in town offered this service to me. The result was perfect.

Fast forward several months, my now fiancée and I were back at Ringmaster to decide on wedding bands. The experience was again top notch. Michael and his staff were again so professional and accommodating in helping us with our decisions. At this point, they had my business for anything related to jewelry. They also repaired a major issue that I was having with a favorite watch of mine.

Ten years later, I was again contacting Ringmaster in search for an anniversary band for my wife. At this point, we had moved some distance away out of state. I searched local businesses and the Internet, but found nothing to match my wife's wedding band. Michael and his staff (Jeremy) were again there to meet my every expectation. They made the process so easy short of having to mail my wife's rings to them to guarantee a match. While this was actually very easy, it was quite anxiety producing for me to place her rings in the mail. Jeremy was so great to work with and never seemed to mind my frequent calls and emails. The set that they created for us is absolutely stunning.

Some will think that such work is exceedingly expensive. My answer to that is absolutely not. Their prices are on par with other companies without the consideration of custom work. They will have my business for as long as they are in business no matter where...

I decided to go with a different and unique gemstone ring with a traditional diamond halo setting. Michael found several pink sapphires for me to view at great prices. Many other stores in the area acted like finding this type of stone would be difficult. But Michael was able to find several stones from different brokers that he knew from his years of experience in this industry. I ultimately settled on a beautiful 2.3ct oval Pink Sapphire.

I wanted a specific setting and ring design that I couldn't find anywhere else, so I decided to let Ring Master custom design and create the ring as well. Michael and I met on several occasions to discuss the design of the ring, as I had some very specific requests. He was very accommodating and understood exactly what I wanted. Michael has a great eye for ring design and proportions. He was able to create a beautiful, custom, one-of-a-kind engagement ring for me. I had a very short time frame to work with, but Michael was able to deliver on his promises with a gorgeous ring.

Michael Scott and his staff were exceptional right from the start! An initial phone call was friendly and professional. In spite of my asking many questions, I never felt rushed; Michael seemed genuinely interested in helping. It took several in-person meetings, and numerous phone messages and e-mails for my then-fiance and I to select the just-right design for my engagement and wedding bands. Michael was helpful, honest and fair; professional and friendly. We never felt pushed to exceed our budget. The center diamond belonged to my great-grandmother, and the center setting belonged to my grandmother. Michael was helpful with insight and guidance on design selection, but was very willing to incorporate our ideas. The unique, one-of-a-kind end result is beautiful; the picture does not do it justice! The detailed hand engraved scroll work and milgrain edge are gorgeous!
