Green's Market — Local services in Winter Haven

Stopped in yesterday to try out the new lunch menu. Ordered a Cuban and got a pork plate. After paying I stood around for about 10 minutes waiting on the Cuban before being asked what I needed and told them I was waiting on a Cuban. In the mean time I watched a gentleman behind the counter wiping his face and nose with his gloves on. Come to find out he was the one sent after that to make the sandwich with the same gloves on and never changed. Thought being they were new to the food bar staff would be more hygienic aware! My mistake! My money was wasted on the sandwich as I should have made a fuss at the moment but decided to just throw it away instead. I WILL NOT RETURN AFTER THIS! Watch your food being made, they walk around doing this and that and return to making your food with the same gloves on. Gloves should be changed when non-food, coughing,sneezing face,hair or any other nonfood related actions occur.

After posting this on their Facebook page they deleted it. So the next day I called them out on it again on Facebook. They blocked me after that. They would rather delete posts and block people and run a dirty unsanitary business over contacting an unhappy customer and making things right.Greens spent soo many years building a great business with great respect for their customers. It’s sad to see new owners come in run things the way they do using the Geens...

I didn’t post after my first bad experience because I wanted to give the new owners time to work out the wrinkles. However, the second time was unacceptable. My husband stopped in to pick up a few items and was charged for three when he only purchased one. When I came back to get a refund, the cashier insisted I was mistaken and tried to tell me it was for another item. Then another cashier stepped into the conversation, saying I had actually gotten a great deal. I pointed out that since I was charged for three instead of one, it wasn’t such a great deal after all. Once they finally acknowledged I was due a refund, they refused to give me cash back because I didn’t have my husband’s card with me. The manager that was called to do the refund, never acknowledged me or said...

Realistically they used to have more meat deals that made thw prices they had worth it they have now turned into a general mini grocery store its no longer a meat market which in winter haven there arent any good meat markets left now.greens was where you could get the best bang for your buck…their prices are stil okay and its still a good store but as someone who was born and raised here and my parents raised going to this atore honestly modernizing it make it kinda suck as far as meat shopping.but they have a really cool fruit and vegie section now but it has lsot its heart...
