This was such a highly attended event that I did not actually find it enjoyable. Parking is blocks away, the entry fee is cash only and not inexpensive when you have a large family group attending. Then they charge for the event map which should be included for that fee.
The crowds are so large you cannot see the caber toss or games because people are four to five layers deep and the players are very far into the field of play. Getting our lunch meant two hours of just standing in line. It's not to say the food vendors are to blame when that many people are in constant demand. Then the prices even for event food were a little nuts, for example a pretzel was $15 and it just felt every single item was very over priced.
The events are very far from each other and without the paid map we had no idea when one would start or where it was. The crowds being so large meant the ambient noise was so loud we could not hear the bands when other games we have attended have that lovely sound always present in the background.
In general for us it was not great simply due to crowds. This meant lines for snacks, lines for beverages, lines for bathrooms, lines for fun things like ax throwing, and an inability to see any of the games.
