This venue was a beautiful backdrop to my daughter’s wedding. Unfortunately, that’s where the positive part of this review ends. During the year long planning process, we were juggled between 4 different people as a point of contact. It was very challenging not knowing who we needed to go to with questions and not knowing who we were going to be meeting every time we went to the venue. The worst part of that, is literally, every time we met with someone new they gave us different information- right up until the final walk through. It was everything to what side the guest come in on, where the buffet will be located, to where the groom/groomsmen get ready. The absolute worse part about their lack of organization, was the day of the wedding. That day the weather forecast went from 30% chance of rain to 80% ,and though no one can control the weather, a large outdoor venue should have a solid backup plan, right? Nope, there was NEVER a plan discussed and as we were all getting ready, the Luxmore representatives (many of whom I’d never met, nor still to this day know their names) started taking down all of the tables inside (without talking to us) telling our wedding planner they were moving the ceremony inside. This was not ok with us, so we rented tents and had them delivered only to find out 2 hours before the ceremony that the Luxmore would not put out any chairs for our 175 guests. Rather than spending time getting pictures taken with my daughter, I was literally having to argue with them to get chairs put outside for the ceremony, at which point they were bringing me paperwork to sign a liability for their chairs. If they were better organized, and all of this had been discussed ahead of time I would not have lost out on precious time with my daughter the day of her wedding. That is time I will never get back. Fortunately, my husband and I did not feel like signing a liability to cover chairs was worth an argument the day of our daughters wedding, so that’s what we did, and as I predicted all along, it never rained. No one ever apologized, nor said anything to me, other than a very sarcastic response when I told them there was never a rain plan discussed. This venue is very unorganized, unfriendly and uncommunicative. In addition, they should be ashamed of their behavior the day of the rehearsal. The groom’s grandmother was using the handicap ramp when she tripped, causing her to fall on her face, nearly breaking her nose and no one at the venue seemed to care or do anything for her. She was literally bleeding and bruised and just to get ice, seemed to be difficult for them. She missed the rehearsal dinner that night and had to leave the wedding early due to her injuries. They have never checked on her and showed absolutely no concern for her well being. I am disgusted with the lack of empathy and customer service. I will NEVER use this venue or their sister venues...
Read moreSerious bug problem!!! Attended a wedding at this venue and although it was beautiful, it was swarming with MOSQUITOES, spiders, etc.
The parking area is cute but the brick pattern they used to make it cute ruined my designer heels. One would have to walk VERY carefully to not scrape a heel. I definitely recommend wearing flats or wedges.
The ceremony space was nice and served it’s purpose.
Guests were sent to walk out of the venue and around the back for cocktail hour. There wasn’t access to a handicap ramp, my guess is the bar was blocking it. Cocktail hour was held between a screened-in porch (open) and a beautiful patio area but couldn’t be enjoyed as some of the bugs were biting us as if they were at a buffet while others were diving into our drinks! The screens didn’t appear to be very clean and had so many spiders and bugs. I’m sure the water feature and trees out back didn’t help. I ended the night with alcohol, hydrocortisone, and Benadryl. It was THAT bad.
The reception space was nice and very well setup. The service staff was very attentive and served the meal in a timely fashion. I understand that not everyone has the same tastebuds so I won’t say much about the bland food. Just know if flavor is important to you, this ain’t it! The food was OK at best. If that’s what you’re going for, this is perfect for you. ❤️
I can’t say I wouldn’t recommend this venue as it was nice BUT I wouldn’t recommend for a nighttime event, especially if it’s outdoors. Expecting guests to wears gowns/suits and endure an hour in a mosquito feeding ground is cruel and...
