I feel like I have to get on here and share my thoughts on this company. We started renting about 4 or 5 years ago from this company who were originally out of Kaysville. I think they sold and are now out of Woods Cross. We've always had great experiences renting which is why we've gone back to this company every year. Well, I'm not sure what happened, but our last experience this year was far from enjoyable. The wave runners ran fine but were quite dirty.... You'd think they'd wash them up and make them look nice after each rental. Also, their equipment was subpar to say the least. A couple examples are: Their version of the orange boater flag was a very large construction stake with a piece of orange material stapled to it. Worried we'd get splinters, we bought one for them which to their credit, they reimbursed us the $8. Not sure why it took us having to buy one, when they could/should have easily done that themselves if they took any pride in their rentals. Also, I went to pull out the anchor hook to anchor them in the lake and grabbed a fishhook! Luckily it didn't puncture but didn't feel very good either. They gave us soaking wet life jackets that STUNK. The trailer lights needed a wire fix.... Gas cans leaked... Oh, and the tube... they gave us a tube only to find out it leaked air while out on the lake. They didn't even reimburse what we paid for the tube, except gave a HALF credit back... really?! It sat on the beach the entire time! When we picked them up, we let them be aware we'd be back late, but they charged us a late fee... Anyways, if you're looking to rent, you should go elsewhere. Spending a little more money if you have to would be well worth it. We will not be renting from them anymore. We rented 4 from them and you'd think that'd go a little way in trying to help us have the best experience possible with them. He couldn't have cared less....
UPDATE This is a reply to the owner's dishonest reply. They never mentioned to us the "late fee", unless it was part of the small print we had to initial and saying "we should have known" is misleading. Of couse we realize there is a return time, but when the owner says returning later in the evening ok, what are we supposed to do? Also, the tube having issues and not holding air was never discussed. I was there. Why would we pay for and take a tube that goes flat? Seems like a no brainer to me. I am writing this for my dad, since he can't. He spoke with the owner's wife at pick up and there was no mention of another party wanting to rent and when he told her we'd be late, she said no problem. If we had known there was someone else wanting to rent, we would have made more of an effort to get...

6/10/2025 These guys are absolutely amazing. Lynn and Jamie really care about your experience and went above and beyond for us to make sure we were happy with our rental. I did a lot of research before we rented and found Blue Wave to have the best prices and the best equipment as well. We rented two of their 130s and was seriously impressed. So much so that we will be renting again on the 16th as well. If you’re looking for a fun and great experience call these guys ASAP. I promise you won’t be disappointed 💯
Update: 6/16/2025 at this point, all I can say is wow! I decided to rent with these guys again yesterday because my first experience was so incredible. Again, we had the pleasure of dealing with Jamie helping us get everything together, she is a true gem. This time I decided to upgrade to their best option their Sea-Doo 230 wake pro. Holy moly, that machine is a beast. It came with a wakeboard as part of the rental And you can also pull a tube. The power and handling this machine displayed was absolutely incredible. This sea-doo has so many options and safety features we were completely blown away. Not only does it have a sports mode, but it has a dedicated ski mode for wakeboarding and pulling tubes. Trust me when I tell you, you’ve got to try this machine you will never want to rent anything else. The best part about it is, you can rent this from Blue wave at the price of a lower model from other companies around. Their prices and service are literally unbeatable.    Read moreI did a google search for jet ski rental on Yuba Lake and this company popped up. It was a good deal, so I signed up for a 3 day rental. As I was reading the confirmation email, I saw that the company is located in Fruit Heights--2 hours North of Yuba Lake. I called them and asked about how that worked, and they told me that I could come pick them up in Fruit Heights, or they would deliver them for a fee. Since I live 3 hours SOUTH of Yuba, I had no desire to drive two hours beyond my destination, then two hours BACK to Yuba. It ended up being $260 extra to have the machines delivered. That is reasonable, but it would have been nice to know that before I had already committed to buy.
The other thing that was kinda crappy was that the delivery time was taken out of my rental time. The paperwork says pick up at 8am and drop off at 8pm. They told me that I could pick up near Yuba at about 10am, and drop off at about 6pm, since that is how long it would take the driver to get down there from Fruit Heights. In reality, I just had to work with the delivery driver's schedule. Luckily, he got up really early and delivered even slightly before 8 in the morning, because that's how it worked out for him. Unfortunately, it worked out for him to pick them up at 4:30pm on my last rental day--3.5 hours before the time I expected to be done with the machines.
All in all, it was a good experience and I would gladly work with this company again, but I feel like people need a heads up that 1) there's a delivery fee and 2) You don't necessarily get the machines the whole time it seems...
